Default Kelford cams anyone?

Anyone order from Kelford or any of their US distributors? I went to order my cams today from horsepowerfreaks.com and they couldn't garentee me that Kelford even had the cams i wanted on the self. They said it could be 10 days or 6 weeks if they had to grind them. I dont feel comfortable with a company sitting on my hard earned money for 2 and half months while i wait for cams in New Zeland to be produced. Input? Other options to get to kelford?

Kelfords are popular with the Evo crowd. Motion Lab Tuning (authorized vendor on Evolution.net) claims they have the lowest Kelford cam pricing on the net. A high volume Kelford dealer like Motion may be able to get you better pricing on Miata cams. YMMV.

Put my order in with Todd at Motion Lab today! I ordered the Kelford T203-D 280 duration drag race cams. Should have them in about 3 weeks! They do not stock them, no one in the US does, Kelford has them on shelf in New Zealand. Pricing is right around $600 from Motion Lab. They place a monthly stocking order with Kelford and my cams will be on this months order! BOOYAAAA Cant wait to hear a lumpy *** idle. 500hp here i come!

I was thinking of getting Kelfords but was stuck between 272s and 280s...let me know how these work out for you.

Why did you end up going with 280s over the 272s?

From what I saw from kelfords site the 272 have a 3500-7500RPM band. That's pretty much just what I'm looking for

I'm going for a upper level mild build. Forged rods, stock pistons, port polish head supertech highflo valves and springs. I think my turbo is about as big as I would want to go on a 1.6 without ball bearings but I'm sure that 60-1 can't be much if any worse than my china turbo

Well being that its a garrett and not a china charger, sure id bet its not much worse lol. jtothawhat ran it before me me and made great power at only 25psi, i huffed 32psi out of a smaller 60-1 on my mirage, pretty good mid range turbo imo.

Damn, that's a good price. What's the lift on those 280s??? Are you running the Super Tech valve springs too?? You're going to have to record a sound clip for us after you get them installed.
