Thought of this thread when I read this on my home board. All I could think was that "u r fuxored".

Removing a stuck bolt

Where is a good place to have a stuck bolt removed?

It broke off below the surface,
an easy out is stuck in it,
and it may or may not have been red-locktited in.

If it's got loctite on it, you need heat. Get a torch on it.

You need to center punch the bolt and drill slowly, making adjustments if needed. At one point when I was drilling a bolt the drill was at a 45* angle to get it back to the middle before making it vertical again. End result was a straight hole down the middle.

First, the broken EZ out needs to be removed, normally, add heat and make it brittle and chip it out.

Or use a bur on a die grinder and grind out the EZ out.

Now the head needs to be put in a Head shop/drill press/vertical mill and end mill out the busted bolt and instal a heli-coil
