Default COPS fired right up!!! and then they didnt.... <<SOLVED>>

So I got a set of Savs COPS and installed them Thursday. Once installed, I set the dwell per Jasons dwell curves (3.2ms @ 10v, 2.5ms @12v, etc.) in the Hydra, and to my complete disbelief, the car fired up and ran perfectly on the first turn of the key!!! I ran it for a few moments, shut it down, cleaned up the work garage, then started it again and drove it into the house garage where it sat overnight. When I started the car to leave for work on Friday morning, it took a while to fire up, and when it did I immediately noticed it was running on (most likely) two cylinders - yikes!!! I ran it for about 15 seconds and up to about 3k rpm to try to get a problem to clear up, but when it didn't I shut the car off, loaded up the truck, and drove the truck to work.

Now I opened the hood today to see if I could fix the problem. Before I did anything else, I keyed it on to see if the problem magically would disappear. To my complete and utter dismay, not only was the car not fixed, but now it wasn't firing on any cylinders at all!!! I pullled the plugs to make sure my gap was at .035 and tried again to no avail. At this point, I'm mildly frustrated and have no idea what problem I should even be looking for. I pulled the electrical tape to check the crimp connectors where I mated the COP harness to the stock harness and everything seems to be fine. The auxilliary ground from the COP harness is run to a bolt on the intake manifold.

Plz help!

Same problem I had. Call FM, get a dual-feed wire with ECU crimps on one end of it and wire for sequential. My hydra would not run in waste-spark with COPs for the life of me, sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not spark on one or more coils.

Provided you have the tools, you just plug the two wires into the ECU harness (the two pin points are on their LS3 coil instructions) then run them through the firewall to the harness you made, wire the back two cylinders to the new wires (leaving the front two on the existing wires) and disable waste spark in "Settings 1 -> Ignition and RPM limits".

To test your therory, I pulled the connectors off of the #1 and #2 COPs.

MOTHER ****** STARTED RIGHT UP AND IDLED (roughly) ON CYL 3 AND 4 WITH ZERO THROTTLE INPUT!!! HOLY ****

Reconnected #1 and #2 and found myself in a no start condition again.

Thanks IDIOT!! Looks like I'm calling FM!!

I <3 you guys - but not in a gay way or anything...

fooger: I got 7ft wires and it wasn't long enough, get 12 feet of wire, and I would suggest you get 2-3 dual-feed wires, since it'll only cost you like $20 for the pins, wire, shipping and labor.

damn, I left the house before you put that up - I ordered a pair in 8' length - probably not long enough - a couple of sets of wire might not have been a terrible idea either.
