Default Turbo Help...

I have a 97 Miata, and cant decide going between ls1 miata or turbo. But right now im leaning towards turbo. I need the Power now...Only thing im worried about is power. I could build my miata into an ls1 for rougly $5000. As I can get an LS1,trans, wiring and everything for 1000.

But paying to put it in is the expensive part. However thats 300hp and nearly the same torque.

If I turbo I want to achieve no lower than 200hp and would really love to get 250hp on a daily driven miata.

Is it possible to reach 250 on stock internals? Im sure it is, but can it be done cheaply or at least cheaper than an ls1 swap?

I priced a full ls1 swap done properly and it was closer to 8000 or 9000. A BEGI shanghi kit for 1200 and a little elbow grease would get you to 250 all day long, with decent reliability too. You'd need and i/c, management and all the other little nic nacs (ei: fuel pump, bov, clutch injectors ect ect ect) but i couldnt see spending more then 3000 to get you where you want to be.

Do you really think I give two ***** about your ******* honda running 11's??????? HHAHAHAHHAHA wow

Is that supposed to IMPRESS ME??

I didn't buy a miata to throw nitrous on it and go run 11's just to grow an online dick like your ------ ***. I doubt you even had an 11 second honda. Most people with fast cars don't sound like ******* retards like you.

You come in here like a ******* dickwad. You make no intro thread. You don't do any searching even though this topic has been beaten to death and every possible scenario discussed. You make a new thread. You provide no info on what miata you have. Then you get butthurt when people are skeptical?

Get the **** out of here ******* dickweed. You can go hang out with those people that "told you we were stuck up ********". Go to m.net or clubdickfest.net or something.

Its only a matter of time before you get the banstick up your ***.

Search.

Some of these topics sound vaguely familiar, and there's a chance you'll find where knowledgeable members have discussed them before without them having to type it all out again.

Also, if said members were going to waste their time doing so...it would be easier with a little more information like what year Miata you have, what your ultimate goals are(usage..not just hp or psi #s you've pulled out of your ***), what your skill level is ("But paying to put it in is the expensive part." alludes to lack of mechanical aptitude).

Please find the Meet&Greet section and post up. Starting a thread there is pretty much the first thread you should start here. You could call that stuck up...but we call it forum etiquette. After that put some info in your signature, and your location in your profile so the unfortunate souls that wish to help you have that information at hand regardless of where you are posting.

Next try reading some of the "Useful Saved Posts." They are both of those things...useful and saved. Useful as they contain a lot of the information miataturbonewbs seek, and saved for that purpose.

Once you have done that...learn to use the search feature, which doesn't work to well...so then go to google and type: "site:miataturbo.net keywords". If you still don't find what you are looking for feel free to start a thread.

One last thing, once you get a grasp of what's going on...help the other newbs that come along, since we were all once new here as well.

i deal with wrecks there is no such thing as a wrecked ls1 for a grand cars like that go to rebuilder auctions where they will bring at least 4 to 5 grand i watch those auctions just for the chance to pick the drivetrain up.just seen a newer mustang bring 10500 check the auctions you'll see what they bring. and from what i gatherd since i joined searching the threads many of there board members know there **** and they will call you on b/s statement and claims.
