Greddy @5.5PSI

Greddy @5.5PSI
1.8 injectors and tony DP and Cat.
noticed the 10hp and torque gain just by swapping the dp and cat...
dyno shows stock vs greddy vs greddy with turbotony dp and free flow cat.
right now it's doing 7psi, but i need to lower the boost untill i get the IC as it is going too lean say 13.'s.

I'm guessing that's 148bhp at the flywheel?
things you ideally want before upping the boost:
suitable injectors
timing control (Bipes, MS, Emanage etc..)
Fuelling control (New Vortech disc, or MS, Emanage etc etc..)
Intercooler
I don't see how fitting an intercooler will make your car run leaner though?
You may see a small drop in psi, but power should remain the same as the charge will be cooler.

Why at the fly? Mine made that at the wheels, not that much tq though.

now i run 12.0 to 12.5 at WOT to redline. seems good to me, and since 12.5 is the sweet spot, better yet.
I thought by adding an IC the colder air (more 02) would result in a leaner condition if you maintained the same psi level.
and yes it is 148 at flywheel.
Ray, your car is 115hp, mine is the 90hp euro version.

no, sorry obviously i didnt do that. it is measured at the wheels, but the plot actually says measured at the engine in spanish... ah man, i'm sorry, i dont know **** about dyno's, and i was just trying to explain what the mechanic told me. translation from spanish is measured at the engine... he told me it was a brake dyno? whatever that means...
came out wrong, but i didnt mean to say at the flywheel.
different cams(milder), piston, lower compression. have a look at
https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/sho...&highlight=Ole for more details on the engines.

Cool, so you got it running at 6psi now, and since you can monitor the AFR's you should be ok.
Honestly, installing the Emanage was the best thing I ever did (apart from fitting the turbo), gives you much more control, and a better idea of what's going on with the engine.
If your Spanish Dyno is anything like the one I used here in the UK then it will measure the Bhp at the wheels, then on the rundown it calculates the approximate BHP at the flywheel, I think transmission losses of 20-30bhp are typical on mx5's, mine were around 30bhp. (168bhp at flywheel vs 138bhp at the wheels)
