Well, was fun playing with peeps today.

Although Brainy says D3 is retarded and takes no skill.

I will say, what I have seen so far, its very very easy. But its just the first act and should get harder.

Playing HC also makes the game much more interesting to me.

It's the tutorial. It's supposed to be easy. I can't think of a game offhand that has a hard tutorial.

it at least needs some badass input strings to do special moves, like mortal combat and sf.

Unfortnately that doesn't appeal to the masses. The PvP will take some skill, I promise.

Scott will never spend the time that it takes to build a good PvP character. The fact that it takes longer then 20 minutes kills it for him. All he wants is instant gratification.

I spent about 2 hours playing last night. I went with a witch doctor. I thought he was pretty cool. Reminded me a lot of the Necro. The first thing that I discovered that annoyed me was that I could not figure out how to set my right click back to attack with my weapon instead of casting a spell. I was having all sorts of trouble figuring out how to configure the spells after I leveled up some and had a few. I wish that it was more like d2 where I could use my function keys to hot swap spells on the fly.

Frankly, it's looking like the PvE will take some skill.

But D3 won't appeal well to the instant gratification crowd like Brainy unfortunately.

D3 is putting in a mode past Hell. 'Nuff said.

Its kind of annoying that you cant swap on the fly, at least not that I saw. But if you go in to the options, there is a box somewhere for allowing full customization of the action bars. That allows you to switch back to just a weapon attack.

Interesting, if they reopen the beta I might go in and try to reconfigure it. I did not spend to much time playing with the settings. I had an extremely limited amount of time to play before I was passing out. I wish the open beta would have been a weekend that I had free time on.

I lvld a demon hunter and enjoyed it. Either way ill play it on release since I got a free copy through WoW. Looking forward to playing through it all the way should be a good time. I gotta fidget with my vga too because I wasnt impressed with the graphics but its a blizzard product so guess that explains it. Just thought my gtx580 would annihilate it a bit more lol

My 470GTX annihilates D3 completely (Maxed every setting they had, 150fps).

Perhaps it's not your graphics card that is the bottleneck, Dolsiac?

Everything was maxed from auto settings I just never went into the nvidia pannel to change some minor stuff. Not like it was pixelated or anything I just expected a bit more from a new age game. I know its not a bottleneck issue as my rig is built pretty well, I mean I run bf3 on max with aa16 or so around 70-80fps. On release ill mess with the settings a bit more and be fine just saying I expected a tad bit more out of the game. Cant wait for the gw2 beta next week that will actually give my vga a good run for its money

Blizz graphics are historically ****, but they *intended* for the game to run on computers that are graphically challenged.

I wouldn't necessary say ****(def not saying they are the best). Its just like you said, they try for almost all of their games to be able to run on as many systems as possible.

I think D3 looks decent for the type of game that it is.

I want to make platinum in sc2 before D3 comes out. I will be doing a lot of ladder grinding in the next few nights.
