This is a clever little doodad, designed to protect your engine. If something goes wrong with your boost controller or wastegate - even something as simple as a hose blown off - it`s possible for your turbo to make too much boost and damage your engine. We`ve seen it happen, and nobody likes the result.
The Turbo Fuse is exactly what it sounds like - a fuse for your turbo. If the boost level spikes up past the set pressure, the Turbo Fuse opens up your bypass valve and dumps the pressure. It will reset itself as soon as the pressure drops. Until it opens the bypass valve, there`s no leaking so you don`t have any performance hit. Just the security of knowing that if something goes wrong, you`re covered. The opening pressure is adjustable so you can set it wherever you like.
For any turbo Miata. Easy installation.
Thanks for any input...you guys are always helpful.

$160????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a good way towards a MS. Which has boost cut.
I have hydra which has boost cut too.
This seems great for band aids. But shouldn't band aids be about cheapness?

I reckon that for most folks, bandaids are about fear, uncertainty and doubt. A voodoo box costs a hell of a lot more than a Megasquirt, but it only has a couple of wires and a couple of *****. For them what's runnin' without any sort of real engine management, that there fuse gizmo probably makes some twisted kind a' sense.
