1.6L parallel fan mod
How do you do it safely? I searched here and m.net and just about everything i found was for the 1.8. Besides the connecting the fan to the relay which I've read can blow the relay. How else can this be done?
Thanx

I tried that mod and botched it up
Both fans would come on then go off, or not come on at all, or one would come on or the other one
Now I have the main fan wired up to 'aways on' using the test harness in the engine bay.
I've tested the relay and it's fine - I tested using the plug on top of the termo and putting it to ground - turns the fan on fine and you can hear the relay clicking.
Dunno what's going on with them now

You mean that 7th tab from the left? Oops. lol. Actually I did come across the Hakuna write up but I wasnt sure if that was the same as jumping from the relay.

Ahh the west coast. My wife and I went to Lovers Key for our honey moon, very nice out there. I was suprised how different it is compared to the east coast.

The fans may both go on with the AC running since they're parallel wired at the ECU, no?
What time you starting the tranny project? I am taking a me day on Saturday instead of painting and fixing. Figure I'll get up early as usual, get my coffee and head out your way.
BTW, you want the Amsoil crankcase flush before putting that 10w40 in? I am ordering some for myself anyway.
