Easy there big boy.

My point being is that the RX8 is the first (only) sports car with 4 doors. AND it doesn't run pistions. What do you think Mazda should have done? Build a high HP big boost piece of **** that no one can afford and is in the shop more than it is driven? The RX8 was smart. Safe is a matter of opinion.

well i say soltice becuase the elise is just beyond alot of our pockets. i like the sky alot more, even more than the mx-5 but when i hear about the sky redline then i was just floored. the mx-5 i feel will be around a long time. its got a great suspension design, its short and wide and has most of its weight down low and is not front and rear heavy for those reasons i think its hard to beat but it can be beaten. i bought one for a reason and it should hold true for quite a while. probly the time the miata starts to die will only because of shortage of parts. but somthing tells me after how many millions have been sold that will take quite a while.

You said it was risky...I said it most definately is not. I want a turbo rotary, a new one, is that to much to ask for?

High horsepower shop queen...wait how long have I had my miata, and how much of its life has been on jackstands :gay:

a car that needs to be treated with care...... any more care than a normal vehicle.... at an rx8's price point.... IS inherently risky

Not that I don't like them, and I AM a former rotary owner; and will always be at heart.....

Wow this thread drifted out of control in an hour and a half's time lol. How do we go from "cars you have beaten" to discussing how safe a move mazda made with releasing the 4-door RX-8? Actually I am glad that our moderators allow such drifts because it leads to some interesting discussions sometimes.

Anyway, back on topic I beat a raised up redneck truck in my stock 97' on Golden State Ave. Hick opponant was apparantly scurred and gave up on the line

I said it, and no the STI and the EVO aren't sports cars. They are rally cars and heavy pigs that rely on AWD too much. Keeping in mind that these are my definitions and opinions.

Now on to kill stories. Put it to a guy in a Solstice, he thought he was so cool in his bugs bunny-esque car. I showed him. Seriously thought, I don't think he expected me to catch him after the ricer flyby he did on the highway.

a few stock srt-4's, 99-04 Mustang GT's, foxbody 5.slows, a few C4 vettes. oh, and a few Solstice's too. that was on 8psi, will be up to 14psi by spring. a few weeks ago I beat up on a stock NB Miata in the Jeep too, straight-6 ftw.

There's a Cobalt SS around here that I embarrassed. Other than that not too much as I tend to play it safe on the street and the nearest dragstrip is 2 hours away

Still working on beating my wife's SRT4, should be easy when I return from Kuwait and unleash "round 2" on the Miata with my MS/FMIC/etc.

Although irresponsible of course, I loved highway runs in the turbo vr6. My favorite was telling most lightly modded cumstand and camaros "lets run it agian and I'll leave it in 5th. hahaha
