Default Weird hesitation problem

I've had this problem lately where when I'm in like fourth gear and floor it, once I get up to around 4k rpm it'll like hesitate once or twice and once in a while it'll do a quiet pop pop pop pop when I floor it and get to a high rpm and high boost but it has no power while making that noise. I thought maybe my injectors were maxed or something, I put in supra 305's. It idles fine, the boost stays steady at ~ 10psi no spikes or anything, it runs borderline stoich/rich (ordered my wideband, not here yet - just the narrowband afr meter now). It reminds me of when I had an alternator die but it doesn't do this all the time. Could this be the plug wires? I know it could probably be a wide range of ****. Thanks for any help in advance.

(greddy @ 10psi, supra 305cc, rx7 afm, olderguy o2 clamp, walbro 255)

change your plugs and plug wires first! you are running the recommended plugs for boost right? and double check your gaps!

maybe, you get what you pay for! just make sure you get bigger plug wires if you replace them again! factory is 6mm you want to go with 8 or 8.5 mm wires!

do one more thing, back your boost down to about 5psi and take it for a spin! if all is fine you may just need bigger injectors!

i was trying to remember what i set my injectors at on my MSPNP.....

**** i dont know what i was thinking! your car should have the 265cc in it! and hell 305 is only 50cc bigger than that! if its not your plugs and wires, next thing that throws a flag for me is injectors..........either there dirty or you need bigger

I replaced the plugs and that sound is gone for now, but now I have this other noise. It sounds like metal rattling but not an even rattle. Could it be detonation? I have the timing set at 6, and I run 93 octane. Do I need to retard the timing more? I had it at 8 and moved it to six, didn't change the noise. It sounds like something rattling but theres no loose ****, its not the fast vibrating of the wastegate type noise.
