Default Oil Pressure and Temperature Sender location

Where is a good place to put my oil temperature and pressure senders? I've heard of drilling and tapping the oil drain plug for the temperature sender.

For the pressure sender I was thinking about using the stock location but I'd prefer not to lose my factory crap gauge.

See my thread about the $1 sender. I glued my old one to the back of the oil pan.

There's a VDO sender that has dual output that works with the factory NB gauge. I'm using it on my LSX swap to have a real oil pressure gauge and not have the factory one "dead". Search Miata.net garage for the part number.

OK I found your thread. That looks like a different type of sender than the one I have. I have one that looks like this:

Wow. I dum. My pressure sender actually does have two terminals, just like the vdo sender. I don't understand this stuff so I was thinking they just put that extra terminal there for fun :| Thanks

I used the temp sender I suggested so I wouldn't have to drill the oil pan.

What gauge do you have?
