going to the dyno tommorrow!

going to the dyno tommorrow!
last year i made 183hp and 180 ft llb torque.
Since then I have added a 2.5" dp to replace the restrictive greddy one.
Will i see any gains.
I am really going for a tune-up and to trim the maps as i feel I am running richer. If the tuner can lean out the maps I should make more power right?

I take on board what you said.
I am convinced I need to open the exhaust up but to make an extra 20 rwhp seems unrealistic to me.
I cancelled the dyno time as it was pointless. Only addition since I last went was a 2.5 " downpipe.
Gonna go back when I have:
Bigger intercooler with less restrictive pipe run ( too many bends)
2.5 exhaust cat back
Water Injection
Thing is I am split between getting the aboave done and a new paint job?

unless you find a really good fabricator, then 2.5 is all you can fit on the miata... if im not mistaken, even begi's divorced 2.75 dp is only 2.5 down to the firewall, then connects with the opening at 2,75... my fabricator charles told me that 2.5 all the way would be good... but then after dynoing the car with 2.5 dp and 3 the rest of the way back, he was surprised... anyhow, get it done bros!

I have 3" turbo back on my car, the only problem spot is the downpipe and going around the diff but for a good fabricator shouldn't be that big of a problem. I'm sure I gained at least 30+whp after going from 2 1/4" downpipe and 2 1/2" exhaust with cat to 3" downpipe and 3" catless exhaust. Spool up and response is waay better now too.

I have the opposite problem. no room on the downpipe but plenty in the rear around the diff even with the 01+ bracing.

It is worth it to go 3" turbo back. My WRX made an additional 30 hp to the wheels when I went from the stock 2.25" to a full 3" and tuned for it. (I did eliminate 2 cats though) If you are going to have your parts fabricated anyway do it right the first time so you aren't kicking yourself later.
