Default More fuel rail, fpr questions

Ok,

I'm like a dog with a bone right now when it comes to my fpr/fuel line issue.

I know, get a Begi and be done with it.

I was told by a guy at Synapse that the Synchronic SC001 is the model for the '91 1.6, it just needs an adaptor to fit onto the rail. The basic problem I'm having is that, even with an adaptor, the Synchronic just doesn't fit into the space at the end of the stock fuel rail. If I turn the mounting bracket 90 degrees so that the fpr lies paraller to the rail, it'll fit fine. One problem solved, but it doesn't do anything to help fit braided steel lines.

Easy solution: http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...575%20%2090-93

:gay:

Found these guys instead: http://www.extrudabody.biz/servlet/t...gh-Flow/Detail

This is the basic kit, but they can custom make anything you want base off this kit. They can tap the rail whereever I want for a return to the fpr.

Questions:

Does flow rate through the rail matter as long as the injectors are rated to 305 cc?

Does it matter how the fpr is mounted onto the fuel rail? In other words, if i fit a Honda mounting bracket onto the rail, with a Synchronic FPR that fits onto that bracket, will my Miata care as long as the FPR is fully adjustable to whatever ratio i want it to be?

The fuel rail is ready to be fitted with -6 AN fuel lines, but will the Miata hard lines be a problem fitting the -6 AN steel lines to?

Thanks!

Well it seems you are dead set on spending the money dude the stock rail is plenty big to make the power, even so dual feed on stock rail helps abit to. GL getting the AN fittings to work with the stock lines as they end, with a hose bung. No your car wont care but your wallet might.

Perks of having a real job with 4 months vacation a year son.

Disposable income and time that you can put into your hobby, which means I can afford a little bling under the hood.

Besides, it won't be that expensive considering the ultimate solution to all my fueling problems is a full standalone. That doesn't mean I want to throw money away on something that isn't going to work though. Considering I've already thrown away $80 bucks on the tried and true Vortech FMU, I'm not ready to just drop in a Begi which is just a fancier FMU. Just maybe, there's another intermediate way to go...

...hence my questions.

So:

It doesn't matter how I fit a fpr to the fuel rail and it doesn't matter how much volume the fuel rail can flow to the Miata. Cool.

But, I'll need luck hooking up the -6 AN fittings to the stock hardlines.

Thanks!!

Pretty sure you need to use -5AN fittings with some sort of AN compression nut on the hardlines. Those parts are hard to source but you can call up anplumbing.com to see what they have to say about working out a setup.

Yeah, I went down to Performance Plumbing last week and he just doesn't carry -5 AN stuff. He did say to bring down my hardware and he could see what he could do. He also told me to do my homework first.

If I could get the Synchronic onto this rail with the -6 AN fittings, I could at least have something for him to look at. But, if there's no way to tie those -6 AN lines into the Miata hardlines, don't want to waste his time or my money.

Thanks man.
