Default Painted my Altezza tailights. Clubroadster here I come. Maybe.

I know this thread belongs on roadsterchat but I like you all so much I wanted to share this with you. Instead of tinting my chrome altezza ricies, I painted portions black. I left the reflector areas chrome, so it is not as completely black as the black altezza's most run. I think it looks much better than chrome and infinitely better than the bla OEM tails on my bla white car. And with the reflector areas reflecting it will be safer than the black style altezza's.

Again thanks to Paul for hosting my pics. All pics here: http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/taillights/

The standard versions. I started with the top style.

I'm going to go with the fancy 3watt LED bulbs next.

they certainly look better. better than i thought they would after you were trying to describe what you did earlier today.

Is this the reason my turbo didn't get finished?

I think they look better than what they were. Still not a huge fan of aftermarket taillights for Miatas.

They look better but I still prefer stock.

I was staring at the stock altessas on a Honda Pilot today and it really really annoyed me.

No, I was actually at my real work an extra hour and didn't feel up to it. Plus I'll need to use the big welder here at Jesel to fill in that hole anyways. I will probably do it today at lunch.

A lot more subtle than normal Altezza lights, that's for sure. Most aftermarket lights need a good deblinging.

It's model car paints. Smoke paint for the tint, then clear to finish it off.

Never been a big fan of the chrome.....I like the black much better.
I just need to finish mocking up some '67 Vette lights that I am stealing from the '61 Truck project.

I had some spy pics taken of you in the car showing taillights and you smiling in same shot. I'll be blackmailing you shortly.
