Default Chasing a misfire…please help

hopefully this is the right thread for this. Sorry if it’s not.
Okay. So I’m honestly just at a loss here and need some help.

Car is a 95 turbo on MS2

So I just finished up swapping a BP4W head into the car as well as 99 intake, throttle body, RX8 yellow tops, Toyota COP. Which I am now realizing may have been a mistake to do everything at one time.

Anyway. So got everything buttoned up this morning and went to start it and nothing. Not even a pop. Okay then…realized I hadn’t set my dwell time. Oops. Got it eat, cranked it up and fired up after some throttle but only barely. Seemed like it was running on 2 cylinders.

So I thought that maybe my old tune just wasn’t working with the new parts so I flashed a base map and got it set up. Cranked the car and it ran better but still running like ****.

Okay so I pulled the plugs to see what they looked like and first thing I noticed is a huge amount of fuel vapor came pouring out when I pulled the plugs out. Woh, okay to no surprise all the plugs were pretty fouled. So I cleaned them up, gapped ‘em to 25 as many have suggested on here and decided to confirm that everything was working with the COP. With the test menu in TS I confirmed that all the coils were firing and they were but seemed weak to me. Decided that maybe Miata ignition is just weaker than I am used to. Threw the plugs back in and moved on to checking the injectors.

The yellow tops were used from a buddies car so I figured I may as well check to make sure everything is working there. Again with the test menu I make sure all the injectors were clicking and they were! So I tried to crank it again and same thing. Well okay. So I decided to swap the yellow tops for my old (stock) injectors because I know they are good and what the hell. Got those in, set required fuel and cranked it…still ran like ****.

Well one last thing to try I guess. So I took all the COP out and put my known good OEM coil in and cranked it….same thing. Ran like ****. So I decided hell maybe I’m just getting WAYYYY to much fuel at idle so I pulled a bunch of fuel out at idle and same thing.

So now I’m at a loss. I dont know what else to try or what else to do. So I need some help guys.

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Thank you.
