Snow storm prep tips?

Snow storm prep tips?
Unfortunately my college doesn't give everyone a garage, so I have a question.
Is there a best way of prepping our cars for snow and ice? Is there something I can
apply to the rubber seal between the window and hardtop that will prevent them from
sticking? Last time it rained and froze, I had to use my credit card to break the seal,
and that was scary. Tearing or pulling the seal off accidentally would be very, very
bad.
Any ideas?
I might just get a car cover....

That's the ticket. Plus its good conditioner for the rubber.
Spray can of de-icer. Not real good for paint but if you live in snow your up a creek anyway.
Make sure you have gas too. The cable that opens the gas-hole cover tends to get water in it and will freeze you out.
Head lights, leave them up as they can freeze shut too.

Never had the problem of the tops of my windows freezing but I did have my door freeze shut once when I let a little too much snow get on the door sill. It melted and then refroze and was impossible to open the door with the tiny *** handle. Had to go in the passenger side and put a shoulder into it.
Other than that the only thing I do is have a good set of snow tires and make sure the thermostat isn't stuck open.
