PWR Rad and FM shroud? Am I a noob?
NB2 37mm PWR rad, trying to get the FM stage 2 fan shroud to fit.
Am I screwing something up or is my Radiator not right?
Sent flyin miata an e-mail, but this is my DD and I would like to be able to drive it tomorrow AM without having to put it back in, then back out again...
The bolt holes on my radiator are not really close to the holes in the shroud. Factory fans fit perfect. I can get some of the bolts started, but not the lower adapters that fit the holes on the bottom of the drivers side, OR i can get those two in, almost get the other two bottoms in and none of the top are close....
nb4 call fm... I've been dealing with Brandon and he has been great.
See pics: IIRC just the two bottom ones with the 90* plates are screwed in...

YES. sorry. OEM fans fit just fine.
FM's online instructions say the holes may need to be opened up a little, so this may be the solution. I swear I read through the printed copy they sent and must have skipped over that...

ok, im a tard. flipped the l bracket and it all lined up.
used a spacer on the bottoms and a couple washer on the top bolts.
used a couple washers (about 3/8"ish) between the rad nub and rubber nub on the bottom to raise it enough to barely clear the RB swaybar brace...
these things OBVIOUSLY flow more air. and the AC blows noticeably colder, especially at startup.
not really that much louder either, but I can actually hear them running though..
Cool.

in my '03 FSM, it outlines evaporator temp sensor thing (supposed to keep the temp at 38* to prevent icing..), high side and low side pressure switches.
im going to drive it tomorrow so we'll see how it does hot

hasnt tipped over 200, city and stopped it sits at 192ish. ambient 95-96
ac blows 45-50 on high and below 40 on 3 or lower. and gets cool way faster. inside temp started at 155...
you can feel the air being sucked in the nose standing infront of it. it moves some air.

I was a bad boy and put dexcool oat red in it... I'm going to flush it again I think and use some g12 or the super purple stuff.. Whatever I use in the discovery when I flush it... I'm not a fan of the green. Don't like the smell...
