Could someone explain in detail how the autotune for ignition works?

yes, it is. We need to figure out what is required for passing emissions in each state. Here none of those codes would cause an emissions failure, but in another state I'm not sure.

Could someone explain in detail how the autotune for ignition works?
Driving down the road at lets say 4000 RPM up a steep incline. Turbo spools, you get no acceleration (REALLY STEEP HILL) If adaptive ignition is enabled it will begin to advance the ignition to see if there is any slight changes in RPM. If there is a positive increase then a positive advance metric is given. If a there is a decrease then a negative advance metric is given. A positive metric means that more torque is available by further advance, a negative metric means that more advance creates detonation or poorer performance.

This actually works very well on the dyno, because this system allows you to tweak in the ignition table intelligently. The engine should always loose power before detonation occurs on the dyno. If more power is available by further advance then there must be no detonation. If more power is given by less advance then detonation is present. Adaptronic says that the best way is to let it edge tune everything up, and then back off by 10-15% for maximum reliability.

The group buy is open until Wednesday night right? I think this is the ECU I want to go with, but there are a lot of other places I need to spend money on the car right now....but this is such a good deal. Damn it, had I just not received an estimate for $2500 of work to my house, I would have hoped on this in a heart beat.

Technically its open until Thursday, but I have to have the PayPal or money in hand by then. I will be placing the order to Adaptronic on that Thursday so Wednesday night is probably the safest.

What about Launch Control, No Lift Shift, Traction Control, does this ECU have those options?

Tell me about it...I guess I'll just end up being "one of those guys" who reads all the rants and raves after the group buy is over. Then I'll be punching myself in the nuts when I read everyone saying, "this is the best money I ever spent for my car."

Well at least the regular price is only $175 more than, I won't have any qualms about spending $810 vs $995.

What about Crank Trigger Ignition, I'm assuming this can support that as well?

I'm pretty sure it could support just about any trigger system you could throw at it. Its so configurable.

$997 Adaptronic and NB or NBB Harness w/MAP
$936 Adaptronic and NA Harness w/MAP
$720 Adaptronic
$64 3 Bar MAP
$56 1 Bar MAP

I'm hoping I can hold these prices, shipping and wire transfers are very expensive! Otherwise I could do them cheaper.

So the $1160.43 on your website isn't going to be the new regular retail price when this group buy is over?
