I had calculated in the shipping charges I include in every unit. Good eye though!

Travis, the 99-00 Cam gears are the same part from Mazda. What is different in the Intake Cam gear you are machining versus the Exhaust Cam gear for the 99. I know the Cam Sensor picks up on the intake cam gear but i'm not sure what the machining differences will be on the actual gear?

The exhaust cam won't be any different at all. The Intake gear will get the special machining, and it will be the only camgear from Boundary that is actually different from the others.

That's what I was getting at. What's the special machining?

It will need 3 nubs for the cam angle sensor to pickup. That's it.
I'm excited to get one.

Travis,

Too late to affect the outcome but having the nubs fixed to the outer ring for the 99-00 & MSM intake gears makes tuning easier. That way cam timing changes don't affect ignition timing.

The home made gear on my 99

They can do all the general prime colors, and outers can be different colors from inners. If its something different from that it would be a special order. We're getting ready to send a set into the anodizing tanks now, so if your going to order its best to do it now while its going in.

I'm not in a huge rush as I'm still assembling my engine at this point... Can't wait to see the final products of the first batch!

Travis, I sent paypal for the two camgears. Both in black or silver would be ok. Whatever is easier/faster to ship out.

thanks

Default Pictures are here!

All cam gears are here, they will be shipped tomorrow!

We are changing policy. If you like a paticular cam gear color please vote here! We'll make one standard and then colors other then that can be add at a 75$ custom charge. We have to do these in batches of 10 sets so we just can't do every single one a different color.

This project is officially done, and these will be offered on the website. With that being done, we're slaying the 99-up and the carbon version next!

boundary engineering needs to have a miataturbo.net edition of its parts. I'm thinking blue anodized middle and clear anodized gear. or the reverse.
