I need a minimum of 20 pre-paid orders @ $60 shipped each to make this happen.

No payments required until I get 20 firm expressions of interest.

The pic below shows the prototype triple gauge pillar pod.

It replaces the stock plastic pillar cover.

It's held in place by the rubber trim. No screws needed.

Holds three 52 mm (2-1/16") gauges.

Fits 1990-2005.

Only available in "leather texture" black.

Email me if interested @ Bill@MiataRoadster.com

I hope this happens because I want one for myself too!

Thanks,

Bill

The two gauge pillar replacement has already been made for the NA's hasn't it. It's the option of 3 gauges and use in NBs that there is a market for. Thus the reason for this group buy. Hope you get your 20. People on .net are always asking for them.

So this replaces the entire A pillar plastic piece, correct? Not just 3 buckets like the ebay part?

$60 shipped is pretty good. I have a oil temp gauge in the left ball vent. I didn't realize how much I'd miss having that vent cool my hand.

ADD ME TO THE LIST!!

honestly, I'm getting an autometer clock for the 3rd gauge that matches the autometer egt and boost/vac! that's one of my few peeves with my car, really with the aftermarket stereo. It's clock is really small subdisplay and I can't see it while driving.

I don't want the bling o meter WB that close to my eye, so it's going to stay in the center dash, but I'm going to get a coolant temp or oil temp to go next to it.

I test-fit my NA prototype pod on a friend's 10AE. Technically, it fits. The overall dimensions are the same. The NB panel cross-section is more rounded vs. the NA is flatter.

When I mounted the NA panel in the 10AE, without the roundness of the NB panel to hold it taut, the vertical rubber trim was a bit loose. I bet most people wouldn't mind, but it

I'm going to rework the design basing it this time on an NB pillar panel with the goal of coming up with one design that will fit all years.

Here are pics:

Yes, it's true...it's finally happening:

Place three gauges right where you can see them!

* see pic below showing prototype (final part will be all one piece with no gaps)
* panel holds three 52mm (2-1/16") gauges
* completely replaces the stock panel (not an overlay taped over the stock panel like some others)
* vacuum-formed black ABS with "leather" texture
* 15 paid orders are needed to make this GB happen
* $75 + FREE shipping in the USA
* refundable full payment in advance required
* after we receive the minimum 15 orders, it will take about 30 days to get the parts manufactured and shipped to you
* versions for 99-02 and 03-05 will be done next once this GB succeeds
* to order, please visit our site: http://miataroadster.com/index.html#pod
* email Sales@MiataRoadster.com with any questions or to get on waiting list for 99-05 versions

Assuming the GB happens, will we be able to order them afterwards, or is the GB the only possibility of getting them? Right now all my funds are being allocated to turbo stuff. I won't be able to buy anything until thats done.

You'd have to be insane to put anything made of CF anywhere that you'd possibly hit your face on in an impact. When CF shatters, you have a jillion little razor blades coming at you.

So, no, we will not be offering these in CF.

These will be made of black vacuum-molded ABS like all the other similar gauge pods on the market, which is a far safer material.

We're still looking for at least 7 more takers:

1) Harvey C. (10/3)
2) Brian L. (10/5)
3) Cameron G. (10/5)
4) Ric H. (10/8)
5) Martin E. (10/10)
6) Toby W. (10/11)
7) Joshua D. (10/12)
8) Andrew T. (11/8)
9)
