6.0 Powerstroke Fun
We are still trying to figure out what happened. But for some reason this 6.0 spun 2 rod bearings, broke a rod in two pieces, and spit a piston through the block. Seriously, not the rod, but the WHOLE piston through the side of the block. I can't get a good picture of the hole because the motor mount is in the way. :jump:

the 7.3 is a rock solid engine for the most part.
This will cost the customer 10k for the engine, 3k for the lost core, and 12 hours at 95 an hour to install it.
So yes, it is cheaper to trash the truck and buy another. :(

Jesus. How many miles on the truck? I've never had the joyous experience of a rod vacating my personal engine before, but my family had a hemi 5.7 **** some conrods out the oil pan on their magnum after it got hydrolocked in a flood. That's a realllll bitch.
