XOCOVEZA is delicious, had it when I went to the brewery tour a few weeks ago.

Tonight, however, I will be drinking only the cheapest of swill.

$5 beer/shot special (PBR and Jameson) at my one of favorite dive bars in town.

Taking the growlers down to the local brew place in a few. I'll report on what I find there.

be gentle, geography counts?

I am a cheap date. 5 of these and I am lit as one should be on a tuesday night

local brewery link below. I have 12 cases of the twisted citrus bottles waiting to recycle when they come back into season. It is THE best beer on the planet. If you're down on a cruise and don't pm me, at the least try the white tip

No hate for Sam Adams here. Some of their beers are not great, but the majority are consistent and good.

Tonight I was able to enjoy Big Boss "Aces & Ates" and Avey "Raja", as well as some " Stockyard" oatmeal stout from Trader Joes ale.

I wish Chocolate Boch was available year round or at least in its own 12 pack instead of in the winter sampler only. Its like a chocolate stout for people who dont like stouts.

This was just fantastic. Pricey, but fantastic.

Anyone tried it yet? I've not been able to find this in the wild, even through we have a solid representation of 'The Bruery' around here.

"Imperial" and "Milk Stout" don't sound like they should be on the same label along with 11.5%ABV

Yeah, I tried it a few weeks ago, but was not impressed. Perhaps I was just expecting more given that it was from Bruery. It's not like it was bad or anything, just not particularly special IMO.

G, quick update on that Bruery "8 Maids-a-Milking". The local Costco still had some on the shelf today, 8.99 /750ml bottle.

Man...

I've had some cans of Old Chub Nitro sitting around for about a year and a half, finally getting around to drinking them. The first two I opened practically exploded- beer everywhere and nothing but foam pouring what was left. Tonight, I opened one in the sink and... nothing. The widget went off just like it was supposed to and I got a perfect pour.

Might have had a little infection, or an overloaded widget. I had a 4pk of Dirty Bastard that were pure gushers, and had lacto infection. If you let the brewery know, they'll often be grateful or try to make it right for you. O.B guys/gals are freaking fantastic people in my experience.

I already tossed the cans, and as old as they were, I can't imagine that info being relevant to the brewery...

They didn't taste off in any way, so infection wasn't the first thing that came to mind. It was more like they got about a triple-dose of liquid nitrogen before they were sealed up. It was good beer, it just geysered.

And I just saw lots of it on the shelves at BevMo today.

Apparently I'm just a slacker. I'll see if the BevMo out this way has it, I'm about 80% sure our Costco did not.

Anyone else found any seasonals worth writing home about? Ive got one of the great big bastard sized (50oz maybe?) Anchor Steam 2015 Christmas Ales ready to go.

The gas station by my house had this Green Flash double stout. Pretty good.

I love this time of the year. All of the good stouts show up locally. I need to find a Dogfish World Wide Stout..

Thumbs up

This thread is in need of some love, I'm pretty sure we're not all sitting around drinking water (especially if you live in Flint).

Tonight's bomber:

Imperial Barrel Aged Stout. Paired with some homemade pad-thai, complimented amazingly well. Maybe it's just good beer

Also, I was amused by the wax dripping like a scar over the eyes on the neck of the bottle.
