Default Bought a new 22" LCD monitor

Just got a 22" LCD Acer from Circuit City. On sale for $219 after a $50 rebate.
I've been waiting for the prices on the 22"ers to come down from the $350 they've been stuck at for the last 6 months. The cheap 24"ers are still about $500, so they're out of the question, plus I don't think one would fit on my desk.

Here's the link:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-...oductDetail.do

I'm in Jacksonville, FL right now for the next 2 weeks running a thing for my squadron, and the shitty laptop screen wasn't going to cut it. I brought my wireless keyboard/mouse from home, so I'm all set now. The 22" will replace my 20" Sony CRT I've been running for years.

It's not the best quality monitor, but I put it side-by-side with the Samsung and couldn't tell the difference. I'll let y'all know how I like it.

I've been using this thing all day now... AWESOME!!! Plenty of room for 2 windows open side-by-side. For $220, you can't beat this thing for another couple years until the 24" ones come down. Highly recommended.

that is a good deal.. I am running a Dell 21 Wide screen with my 15 LCD next to it and love it.. I think you be happy with it

thanks for the heads up, once I get my second video card installed and running I may look into a second 21 LCD to ease the flow of maya when working....to many windows I need up at one time... I can take over 2 full monitors .....lol

From what I recall all 22 inch monitors on the market use the cheaper 6bit TN panels. Which if you like to watch movies/ edit pictures/ play games, do not look as nice as the more expensive 8bit panels. Look at the price of the 24 inch monitors they are more than double the price. There is a reason for that other than the 2 inches. I owned a few 22 inch monitors and ended up returning them and got a 24 because I couldn't stand the 22 inchers when it came to backlight bleeding and picture quality.

Don't get me wrong ~200 bucks for a 22 inch (even a TN panel) Is a good deal! Pisses me off 28 inch monitors are already on the market with HDMI! Bah thats what replacement plans are for! I am going to trade this puppy in some times next year.

Good deal, but you missed the really good deal about a month back now. Best Buy had the same Acer monitor on sale for 189.99 with no rebate. They even had a 10% off coupon going at the same time, so I paid about 185 out the door with no rebates. Great monitor though!!

If they sell out or if you don't like messing with rebates (assuming it is a mail-in)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009094

219.99 + 14.00 Shipping.... not quite as good of a deal but an alternative if you can't get the Curcuit City deal.
