i won’t be attending. turns out the MSM did more damage than we realized before I took it off. motor is shot. compression numbers(car warmed up, all plugs removed, throttle open) #1 & #2 120-130psi, #3 & #4 90-100psi. Haven't taken the head off but based on what we found inside the mani I may have some pics to put up in that other thread "pics of your messed-up ****"

So the twins are gonna have to wait. Gives me all winter to build something nice that can take more boost.

turns out the motor is fine, at least the bottom is. gonna send the head out for testing. compression test today with a working compression gauge showed 179-185psi across all 4 cylinders while the engine was cold. tomorrow i'll be throwing all the NA exhaust **** back on so i can drive it home. in a week or so we will begin the new turbo setup. i just gotta decide on a turbo, want something quick spooling since i auto-x but i don't want to limit my top end too much. would like to see 240-250 at the wheels. considering the gt2560, gt2860, and gt2860rs

Damn straight.

I'll be bringing the turbo'ed Subaru outback. Rain doesn't scare AWD.

yeah, seems like it.

it looks like the area between my FPR and rail was leaking, almost warped in between. I gotta take a closer look later.

Early report:

Just got off the phone with Scott. He fixed his EBC before his dyno run and had it running a solid 13psi with a minor 16 psi spike overshoot when reaching max psi. He had to lift on his runs at 6k rpm because he started pinging. His torque was still climbing at 6k when he started pinging, and this was with a flat 13psi, no creep. So all in all I can say that I'm very proud of the headwork I did. I believe he said he made 230hp when he lifted.

Too bad he didn't make it to 250 hp, good job on that headwork.

If he had kept it at 16psi like we had talked about and didnt have to lift because of ping I'm confident he would have put down close to 260whp

maybe he pinged because he's running 13:1 at 13 psi?

good job scot damn dude what did your LC1 say when the dyno read 13-1 at 13 psi. Me thinks maybe a recalibration is in order.

If its a tail pipe sniffer then it would be a little bit off.

Pretty sure he isn't using acceleration enrichments, couldn't that cause a lean spot on WOT.

nah the sniffer on that dyno isn't off by much above 3000 rpm. I did a datalog during my run last spring there and it was dead on even with a cat.
