Should you avoid mixing brake pad brands?

Should you avoid mixing brake pad brands?
I picked up a lightly used set of cobalt XR4 pads for the rear to use for the occasional track day. I was hoping to pair them up with a set of XR2s for the front. Do you think there would be an issue with running the dtc60s in the front with the Xr4 in the rear???
I'm trying to shave some cost since i have had to buy a second race harness, installation hardware, and a helmet.

With a 1.6/1.8 rear mixup with the XR4s i had to regroup. I have ended up with porterfield rs race pads in the front and carbotech xp10s in the rear. Thanks to those that allowed me to by their sloppy seconds in an effort to have a set of dedicated track pads for my occasional trip to Barber for a reasonable cost.
In case you want to see the track from behind the wheel. Here is a demonstration lap from the Porsche driving school.
