Excellent videos! That car sounds fierce with the IRTB's.

Oh, and here's part 4 for those that want to see the end. the video is choppy for some reason, but it's watchable.

On the hardtop thing, my buddy did this with his NB not long ago. Looks damn good imo.

I love BMI and hot version videos, they're the only car show I can stand. Top gear is a total joke.

I wish there was an american equivalent, where they tested more realistic cars and mods. And included domestics and euro cars.

I'm planning on doing this too, black hardtop and a-pillars, montego blue body and black wheels. There is a guy on clubroadster.net that has the same set up on a red car.

Al,

Speed channel has really dropped the ball. Look at the huge tuner market and the growing interest in track days and autocross. It couldn't be that hard or expensive to put together a couple of good shows. I'm sick of Neck-Car, bling bling builds and all the Nopi garbage. Show us something real. More SCCA competitions. More instructive shows. More of what got the channel going in the first place.

I always liked Fifth Gear better than Top Gear but of course Speed dropped that show.

yeah i used to like Speedvision, but it started sucking bad when Fox bought them and turned it into Speed (nascar TV) Fifth gear is pretty good because of tiff, that guy is a great driver and he always gets excited about the cars. Jeremy from top gear is such a smug dick.

Agree Tiff was great. Guy can drive and was a genuine enthusiast and real deal racer. Miss that show. Won't miss any of the new ones.

"Today we're fittin 35" rims on Rapper XTC's Hummer along wit a pink suede interior."

"Ooh look, Robbie Gordon is turning left again!"

"On this half hour we are going to show you 38 20-second segments so you folks with A.D.D won't change the channel."

Sick and sad. Unfortunately this programming has worked for them. Ratings are up. Too bad for the real car guys.

I did see somting that looked interesting, the forza show where they gt peopl to build their favorite forza car in real life and race it. that looked cool, but I dont remembr if that was speed or not.

The show by the Dream Car Garage guys almost had it right. They'd take a stock car (RSX one season) and build it for street/ track use. Had some musician doing reviews of misc. cars. Can't remember what they called that show. They did a pretty good job of keeping it for genuine driving enthusiasts but tried to fit way to much into a 1/2 hour show. Needed to make it 1 hour or cut out something.

They are actually planning on doing something like that. They showed pieces of Top Gear on Discovery Channel last year as a pilot for an American version. I read they decided to do a similar thing. 3 or 4 guys around a garage, talking about and testing cars, but with no crowd. The Stig still does the driving.

I think the American one will be lame. The cool thing about Top Gear is that they pretty much specialize in supercars. I'd rather see someone flying around a track in Zondas and Koenigseggs than Chargers and GT500s.
