I hate that I never knew about the diagnostics mode for my TV, and how much **** I can tinker with. So many options and so many little things image wise to tweak. I never even knew of my focus adjustment on the lens, I bet I could clear up the image a bit. I've also always had a nag with the image being a tiny bit too low, which I can also fix via diagnostic mode. On this TV in stand-by you hit mute, 1, 8, 2, then power on. Nice!
Thanks to the $18 Samsung HL56A650 service manual, I found out through the diagnostics mode that it's my main board (the most expensive ******* part at $195 with a $50 core, so ~$150). They make the trouble shooting very easy, once you have the manual in hand. Got power?, go to the next step, got light?, next step, see the diagnostic menu?, next step, do you see a digital image behind the menu (I only saw snow)? Then it's the main board.

Dear god will the hospital/doctor bills ever stop! More keep appearing. I've got two I'm paying on from my previous stone in late '09, and now my shitty insurance has fucked me again. After paying a $200 co-pay this last time, like a month ago, I'm still being billed another $400 from the radiology department. You would think a ******* co-pay would take care of things! So now total doctor bills from the last year are in the $3500 range. Making bitch payments like $50/month, for the rest of my life, like my student loans.
