After talking to all my employees I find out that her "injustice" was a complete fabrication and she was one of those lets pick a fight that doesn't exist type people.

I'm trying hard to write a email in response that assures her that it was pure miscommunication and no foul play was present, but my sneaky subconscious keeps inserting sarcastic responses.

**** I hate customers sometimes. Basically a 55 year old woman with nothing better to do than to start some ****. I know the customer is always right(hahahahahaha) but I'm finding it hard to try to make her feel better about the experience. I don't even want to retain her business.

She wrote an email to my franchise to "get me in trouble", little does she realize that it doesn't do jack **** to me when you do that...oh well, can't make them all happy.

Sorry had to vent a bit, not a good start to a Monday!
The other day I emailed advance auto while I was waiting at the counter for the guy to pull the parts I ordered online about 6 hours earlier.

That night they emailed back and apologized for the wait and offered to send me a gift card for my troubles.

The next morning the store manager called to asked exactly what happened and what he could do to improve and explained while they don't pull parts at his location. he also offered me a discount next time I shop there (but ordering online is better anyways). I told him that was unnecessary but I appreciated the call and the CS.

All because I emailed this while my impatient *** waited about 7 minutes (yes it was that long cause he couldn't find an o-ring I ordered):

"This store never pulls online orders beforehand. Ever. I'm currently waiting for to find the parts...I gave them over 6 hours to have the parts ready."

Now in contrast:

one time I emailed Chipotle because while we waited in the longest line ever. The assembly line didn't work because:

Food piling up, and no one to fill the items or ring you up. Productions lines don't work without people to production.

This was my second complaint to corporate for this location. The first being a bunch of staff that conversed instead of filling orders and always got the orders wrong, had to ask ten times, and ultimately should have been fired. We complained to the manager of the store in person and he couldn't have cared less.

Anyway.

I emailed the picture (along with the line that went out the door) and complained in a very civil manner. They offered me nothing in appreciating for my disservice and time but that they would use this to "train the staff better" and urged me to revisit the store. I said I would rather not as there was another location about 5min down the road that's busier, out of the way, but can get through the line quickly. Suffice to say, I went back to that location a while later and was met with the same shitty service. I emailed CS again and they really didn't care. Really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I haven't been back to that location since.

**** I love cast iron. Last time I used one I just left the oil in it and didn't wash it. That was weeks ago. So season. Very cook. Many nonstick.

Back when I was a youngster I cooked at Waffle House and learned to season bare aluminum pans. I learned to flip eggs and omelets and never used a spatula to turn them. I had to cook for a 44 seat restaurant while 4 or 5 angry whitetrash waitresses yelled orders at me. Everything was cooked by memory. I got pretty good at it but never liked it.

This is a skill which I have never mastered.

I can toss chopped meat / vegetables / gnocchi / etc., in a wok or skillet without spilling any, but I have never successfully flipped a pancake / egg / omelette.

So, Apple computer... Oldest continuously operating computer-manufacturing company which was originally founded as a computer-manufacturing company?

(eg: IBM doesn't count, as they started out building typewriters and time-clocks, and only got into computers as a hobby business later on, DEC doesn't count because it's defunct, etc.)

Is this limited to manufacturing computer systems, or do computer parts count?

Foxconn was founded in 1974, 2 years before Apple.
AMD was founded in 1969, 7 years before Apple.
Acer was founded in 1976, the same year as Apple (Apple was founded April 1st; I can't find a precise date for Acer)

I was specifically thinking of companies which designed, built and sold complete computer systems. MITS, Cromemco, Processor Technology, IMS Associates, etc.

I had no idea that Acer was that old.

Ram truck commercials are just getting too annoying.

"To truck guys, the truck is everything.." WTF does that even mean? "When you put them in charge of making an unbeatable truck, good things happen.." It means nothing. But even marketing drivel usually puts up a token effort at some sort of coherent point. I have a marketing degree. And crap like that is one of many reasons I just have 0 desire to use it. No point at all. Its a complete sentence I guess. The practice of talking a lot while actually saying nothing is slowly (maybe not so slowly) eroding my country, society, and will to live.

Then they went and used that Kongos song I like, ruining it.

At some point in the last 5 years truck commercials became worse than used car lots and beer commercials. They all have some basic elements:

Pulling something out of the ground with a chain for no damned reason at all, usually in a field at sunset and always in slow motion.

Towing some trailer.

Something involving fire or sparks, usually a work site with lots of welding or a foundry.

Driving like jackass through some ruts and bottom out the suspension then getting enough air to use all of its travel.

Rich 20 something douches high fiving.

Edit: At least Ford realized that the F-150 and their engines in particular just aren't that good and thus did something a little different with Dennis Leary to capitalize on the only thing they do have going for them, which is past sales numbers. The LFX will crap all over that stupid EcoBoost. just like the 5.3/LSX has pretty much crapped all over all Mod motors and even the newer 6.2 stuff. The Hemis are garbage engines that pop ring lands NA for lords sake, good luck with FI. Which you need to make any real power from them.

it's working:

Dodge Ram sales are up 22.5% over last year:

http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/pag...autosales.html

Ford F-150 sales are only up 3.9%.

Still better than our car commercials. All we get is how low the taxes are on the 3 cylinder diesel econo boxes if you get them as a company car, not how good/pretty/fast/safe/well-designed it is.

The woman's out of town, apartment's all mine.

A warm spring evening. Windows open, clothes off.

From the eleventh floor, I survey all that which is below me.

My nakedness washes over the streets like a cleansing fire.

I am the nudist Gotham City needs.

My Lenovo Thinkcentre M92p desktop has 8 USB ports. It really, really irritates me that they are layed out as follows:

4 USB 3.0 in the back
2 USB 2.0 in the back
2 USB 2.0 in the front

Seriously? The only USB 3.0 ports are in the back? This makes total sense, because I want my keyboard and mouse to be hooked up to USB 3.0, but I definitely wouldn't want an easily-accessible USB 3.0 port in the front where I could hook up my USB 3.0 portable hard drive.

Hey at least you don't have 2 ports like on my Macbook Air...I'm not complaining since I have a desktop, but still! Worth it though. 8 hours of wondrous battery life.

And you! at least you get the option of having a diesel and a manual gearbox for all the cars we have here! I'd give anything to have some of the cars people have access to in Europe. AWD diesel with a manual...yes please!
