Calfee's one of them. Seems like good repairs from what I understand...as long as EVERYTHING is repaired. Miss a cracked area and you've got problems.

This coming from a guy who rides FSA carbon bars, seatpost and cranks on his Turner 5-Spot. Tell me that isn't asking for a hospital stay.

Good point. I completely ignored the possibility of a photographer shooting a photo series of hipsters completely normal people riding extremely unusual bicycles while exhibiting a particular concern for the privacy of said people and therefore finding an acceptable compromise in posting publicly his photo series with the identities of the subjects partially hidden due to the half-hearted application of a black box over said subjects' eyes.

I also ignored the possibility that our government is tracking and recording the activities of counterculture individuals and while I recognize that the hipster phenomenon can hardly be considered truly counterculture at this point I also recognize that perhaps government bureaucrats are not the best at identifying what exactly constitutes mainstream and what constitutes counterculture and so I can imagine a middle-aged government bureaucrat perhaps wearing a short-sleeved button down shirt and an ugly tie as government bureaucrats are often depicted in films deciding to track the dangerous counterculture hipster movement and as such planting an undercover government photographer to record the movements of dangerous hipsters on their counterculture bicycles but then perhaps some truly counterculture angsty hackers discovered those photos and wished to blow the whistle on the whole hipster-tracking operation but also wished to protect the identity of those hipsters even though the hackers find the hipsters to be somewhat mainstream and boring at least compared to the exciting hacker lifestyle and no not all hackers still live in their parents' basement and sometimes you just need a few months to find a good apartment but in any case you can sure stick it to the man by publicly posting his secret hipster tracking photos as long as you make sure to protect the identity of the hipster subjects because even if you secretly or maybe not so secretly hate those hipsters for fooling everybody or at least if not everybody then government bureaucrats into believing that they are counterculture when really they just desire community and belonging and a common identity but you certainly don't hate them as much as you hate the government bureaucrats that misunderstand the hipsters and the hackers and the parents and the photos and the bicycles and the gold standard.

But yeah, I guess probably a friend of his took that photo.

I'm a member of the club, and work as a chairman for a few events a year. So, no, I pay money to the club for membership, and at each event. However, at the christmas party, I recoup this through drinking their vodka.




I know you don't like autox, but I just found it interesting that a brand new WRX got bump-classed into the "20yo mazda" class.

Anyone else have Hulu Plus on PS3 and have been having a lot of glitchy issues with it? I have never seen a program/app as glitchy as this ****. Freezes up, fails to load selections, never continues a series in the same place, or even the same episode. I spend nearly as much time resetting the console or program as I do watching ****.

I don't get Hulu plus. It's like the basic cable of streaming. You have to pay for it, and they still show you ads.

I'm fine with one or the other.

Or neither. That way the videos are portable to just about every device known to man, and can be viewed without an active broadband connection (eg: while on an airplane, on a train, in the back of an RV, on a ship at sea, etc.)

But I understand that content creators have to be paid somehow. Today the 2 most popular ways are through subscription and ad revenue. The reason I canceled my cable is I was sick of having both.

Hulu plus is not an improvement on that model. I guess you can watch your shows whenever you want, but I could do that with my DVR when I paid for cable.

If they gave a $15/month ad free option I would be all over it. Well not really because I really only watch Archer and it's not even on Hulu.

I've worked in the broadcast business for nearly 20 years. Media companies are exceedingly slow to embrace change (Sony Corp. of America v. Universal City Studios, Inc., anyone?) but I have faith that they will eventually arrive at a workable business model.

Until then, I shall continue to employ alternative technologies.
