Just watched it for the second time, and wow what a great movie. Edward norton is such a good actor, especially for the diverse roles he plays in ... Fight club, American History X, and now The illusionist.

The Illusionist was good, but I agree with Philip the Prestige was a better movie. The cameo by David Bowie as Tesla was very cool.

I thought they were different enough that i didnt need to compare them, I think I liked the illusionist more though.

but the cameo of bowie was worth everything for me. Im gay for bowie, in a totally hetero/hero kinda way.

I love that sirius radio commercial where he stole snoops chain.

Damnit, I went to hollywood video 2 nights ago after going to ball buster and movie gallery and was I walk up to the wall of prestige a guy grabs the last damn dvd on the shelf. SOB, just walked off with the other 5 movies he had in his hand. I want to see that pretty bad though. Sad thing is i ended up watching the Devil Wears Prada with the g/f instead....

really? I thought the prestige was very much more the gottcha shyamalan. but thats the genre so I didnt really think it was a fault. I really liked the idea of the whole movie happening in russia, its something I never expected from the previews and for me added a lot. also the class issues it raised was cool to.

I really liked them both but I think the illusionist edged out the prestige for me.

Just got Casino Royale, wanted to watch it, but got overruled. Apparantly it's American Idol night.

Yup, I agree with that. I watched them within a week of each other and while both are good movies, I give the nod though a slight one to the Prestige.
