I wonder what and when the "Parts for Sale" list goes up?
I hope you and BRAINY are all right. I think we need to pitch in and send Scott to a Defensive Driving School. I used to work for the "Academy of Defensive Driving" back in California for a couple of years when I was younger -- We had lots of fun there. We also had a site at a private airport in Manasass for a couple of years.
Brainy - I'm sad to see the Pic of your car -
P.S. Can't you sue them for installing that pole there?
Oh yeah, I like the Hard Top --- hint hint

I was glad when I hit the gaurd rail and we finally slowed down (be it backwards) however, I was not expecting the jolt from the pole.
my ABS also didn't work when it was backward, the brakes were fully locked and did nothing as it slide about 25-50 feet backwards.
too bad this wasn't a "mountain run" and a simple drive to the hardware store.

Dude. That is majorly, seriously, the suck.
However, in the spirit of laughing it off, and because you hit the pole in exactly the same place as I hit a tree early this year, I hope you'll forgive me for taking advantage of this extremely obvious opportunity to say:
Seriously though. Any idea when you'll be able to get the car up in the air and see how bad the damage really is?

Buy something like that on the cheap, swap in your stuff, sell off all the extra parts (engine, trans, body panels etc...) and you'd probably end up almost even, minus all the time to swap and sell.

At least when I spun my car and took out a row of bushes and maybe a tree... I did it with no one to see! :-)
Sorry to hear it. You've totally taken all the joy out of saying how I think I trashed my ECU. I'll send your car a Get Well Soon card.

ps, after the ins co totals it, buy back the rights (for next to nothing). take their check to buy a clean car to dump your parts into.
