Default Sample too much of the product much?

I was watching TV adding some more rot to my brain and it became commercial time. A "Wendy's" commercial came on and it showed "Wendy" when she was, ironically, a "little" girl. Then it flashed forward to view the present woman that she is today. I Laughed Out Loud (LOL), and then I Rolled On The Floor Laughing (ROTFL). I guess it's not that funny, as obesity in America is a serious epidemic, but I just found it comical. I very rarely eat fast food, and I do have a very ill sense of humor, but am I wrong in saying that perhaps "Wendy" shouldn't be the spokesperson for her inheritence? I mean, tobacco products have labels on them that say things like, "Warning: this product may cause cancer". Shouldn't fast food have labels that read something like, "Warning: this product is NOT a good source of anything and could cause heart congestion and irregular blood sugar levels".

So far the courts haven't forced fast food to put those labels on. I guess it was easier to get people to rally behind sticking it to tobacco companies.

I mean ****, I love me some cheapy fast food burgers but I treat them like I'd treat any non-nutrient substance. Eat rarely, don't expect much.

If I do the fast burger and fries deal, I choose "5 guys Burgers and Fries".

Five Guys = greasiest **** I've ever had, bar none. I have never had a bacon cheesburger with more liquid death dripping from it than the one I had there. Tasted okay though. For the common FF burger joints I prefer Wendy's over McD's or BK. Rather go to Chipotle or Chik-Fil-A or Quizno's but they're not everywhere.

We got one here in Carlsbad recently. Amazing stuff.

It reminds me a lot of In-n-Out from a thematic standpoint, and while the burgers are similar in quality, I definitely prefer Elevation's fries.

Me too.
MD's chicken fingers < Wendy's chicken sandwich < Chick-Fil-A, best chicken ever.

while elevation started here in Northern Virginia, it was inspired by In 'n Out. The guy who started EB was a Cal Poly SLO grad. also apparently he's a big meat lover.

http://www.bizjournals.com/washingto...hans-hess.html

The point of EB is mostly to make a (relatively) inexpensive product but using known quantities for ingredients. local, grass-fed, organic beef and the like. Single source for ingredients is huge when you compare it to the million-cow-blend of the large chains--what's that adage: a drop of sewage in a barrel of wine makes a barrel of sewage? After living with a food production expert for several years, I can absolutely appreciate that.

I met Hans once in his first store. Nice guy. Likes U2--which I think led to the name of the place as well as that of the Vertigo burger (as many patties as you want).

I wouldn't have an issue with Five Guys if they didn't smash the burger after they wrap it.

This reminds me of a story the local news did about how some families are struggling to afford food. One of the couples they interviewed was obese. I couldn't stop laughing!

it's because poor people "live" off cheap food. there's a difference between well-fed and morbidly obese because you eat a $1.25 box of Lil Debbie cakes for dinner three nights a week.
