i've only ever gotten 1 ticket and it was 12 years ago for blowing a red light, which actually wasn't really my fault. I like to think that i know when i can get away with something without getting caught, been working for 14 years. when i was younger i got pulled over a lot, though, never ticketed....thanks to famiry and good bullshitting

The day I did this:

This is my first and only attempt at drifting in m - Car Videos on StreetFire

The cops surrounded my *** and held me and my friends there for about 3 hours while they started to intimidate us. When they realized we didnt give a ****, they were cool and started talking about their personal street racing days when they were kids. They let us go with no issues. Mad cool cops.

Living in the mountains it is extremely easy to get away from the cops if you know where you are going and have a decently quick car. Around here they all drive jeeps and durangos, and most of them are too lazy to pull you over anyway. The only time I have ever come close to a ticket was one night driving back from class in a neighboring county, I got behind a guy pulling a trailerload of hay. Mind you I'm in a corolla. The road we are on is very curvy, so I wait till a straight section to pass him. Little do I know that the guy behind me is a state trooper, as soon as I got out next to the guy with the trailer he lit me up and then gave me a 20 minute "we have idiots get killed on this road all the time for this same thing" speech. I listened politely and apologized, (even though I don't feel like I did anything wrong, I mean the guy ahead of me was going 20-30mph and wouldn't pull off.) I got out of it. Another time me and a buddy (I was in the miata this time, he was in a turbo civic) were bustin from my house over to mountain city, TN on a really nice stretch of road. It is about 25 miles or so, we made it in about 18 minutes Well we passed a sheriff going about 70 or so on a nice straight, but there was no way he could have turned around to come after us.
This is the route: Warrensville, NC to Mountain City, TN - Google Maps

I didn't even read the entire thread....

I've never been ticketed/caught because I'm not an idiot and don't do stupid **** on the street.

Its amazing to me what the 'Harley' crowd gets away with. Any other vehicle half as loud would be ticketed constantly. We have a group of fricken orthodontists and insurance salesmen around here that like to starp on their ***** on Sunday mornings and make a lot of noise and scare old ladies. Its annoying, though funny to see people act like complete badasses based on a 14 second bike.

Never got busted, then too we did not race in traffic. We generally went out into the boonies where nobody really cared all that much.

Theres a good one between spruce pine nc and temple tn... is it 11W? I forget, and then there is always the fun of 421, but cops have started to patrol it now. (i lived in Johnson City before i joined the Air force)

I got caught when i was 17, 112 in a 55 in my Corolla, im pretty sure thats all it had, but i whooped the protege's ***. Then in my late teens and earlier 20's i figured out i could just duck down a side road and dust them. The best one was i was whooping a crx in my miata, and we were spotted by a member of the sullivan county police department. I turned off, and he decided to chase me. I guess my car had a little more pull than a police interceptor, but he was hanging pretty close. We went over a couple hills and there was a 90 degree turn with guard rails on each side. I knew how fast i could go around it (70mph) so i scrubbed a little speed, i saw his headlights close in, then i stuck the corner, with my rt 215's (at the time) squealing at me, then he probably tried at about the same speed or greater. Understeer, then guard rail. I just wish i had the ***** to go back and take a picture. Oh, and if i thought they were gonna crush my car, i would run until it was pre crushed. LOL thats a dumb *** law

Ran from the cops twice.

Once after a race when I had an srt-4(50 trim, 395hp) against a modded 93 rx7

Once when I had a 95 gst(6 bolt swap, evo 16g blah blah).

Both times I had enough power/time to get away. I will never do either of those again. Not at all worth what happens if you get caught.

You've NEVER driven above the speed limit? Accelerated in anger? Burned doughnuts in a parking lot? Drank a 5th of scotch and mowed down mailboxes?

back in college I drag raced my 98 Celica against my buddies 89 Celica. I had the on coming traffic lane on a quiet street in the city. Friends GF dropped the flag, and it was turning out to be a good run, I was winning. Well he didn't like that I was winning, and swerved into me. I lost control of the Celica and slid into a parked car head on at about 50 mph in a 4 wheel skid. I punted the parked car 3 houses down taking out a mailbox and some lawn. When I came to the owner of said parked car was at my window trying to break it out so he could beat the **** out of me. Luckily the cops showed up, and the fire dept used the jaws of life to pop the door open. I walked away from that with just a bruised nose from the air bag. Never again did I race on the street.

Amazingly I did not get a ticket for that! And even funnier was the cop asking if I could drive the car home. My right front wheel with strut and part of an axle was on the side walk across the street.
