Thumbs down Free Turbo

my boss found out that I am planning to turbo charge my Miata. So him being the nice guy that he is said in the back corner of the shop is a new turbo that I could have . So we go back there, and he points it out to me. A Garrett turbo for a Detroit Series 60, the thing is massive and weighs a ton. I should have known better working for a heavy truck dealer. Maybe I can flea-bay it, and buy the proper turbo LOL.

Definitely sell, unless you plan on doing a motor swap as well...

Should would look cool in the engine bay though. I bet you could make some honda fan bois **** a brick during a bench racing session at your local Wal-Mart parking lot.

Think a series 60 Detroit would fit in a Miata?

Probably not...

But you *could find something half the displacement that spins twice as fast.

That would still be ridiculous though, thus the remark about how the ricers wouldn't flinch at the size and make you their king.

Have any pictures or exact specs on it? I would put it up on ebay once you find out exactly what you have.

You could maybe post on turbomustangs.com. There may be some use for it over there.
