I wouldn't since I'm more have more fun building cars rather than something fast.

But the Europe Spec one does sound appealing. The 340 lbs added to get the vehicle US legal is a hell of a lot of additional weight.

no. because Miata. And you can still find clean AP2 S2k's for under $20k, and they have a manual trans... one of the best manuals ever.

Possibly. It would be in the running, but I'd have to compare to others like the new Miata.

How do I weld my roll bar into this?:

Pretty awesome to see CF tubs on a car that someone can actually buy!

Nope. I'd buy a Lotus Seven copy with pretty a good roll cage and spend more time on the track. And occasionally drive it on the street to make sure people know I am crazy.

I was seriously thinking of a 4C, but there ended up being too many little niggles for me to be interested:

*Slightly frumpy styling.
*2-pedals only <<---actual deal breaker. I'm not defeated by life enough yet to settle for that.
*Heavier [way heavier in US spec] and less power than my Exige S. Then again, I'm doing the exact same thing with the Miata, but the pricing is a touch different.

At this point, if I want another mid-engine sports car, I'll probably go with a newer Boxster, or LOL, an old MR-spyder. OMG I can't believe I just said that. I might be joking.

You know it's bad when your car gets made fun of by the Miata crowd

Too true. I'm going to blame VWVortex for this one. I was just reading the thread "Which car you have owned that has been hated on the most". Fairly hilarious.

An MR-S with a 2ZZ swap would be pretty fun, but you'd still have to look at it, inside and out. I don't think I could actually follow through on that and put myself through that.

With a 4C, at least it would be new-hotness. And carbon-fiber tub is geek-sploosh too.

Fat, heavy, autotragic Alfa that will depreciate like a rock, or a light, used 6speed Exige S that won't?
