Yet Another Gun Thread

It is a booster not a suppressor (common upgrade - watch your thread size). Put it on for the military look. I guess if I was trying to sport a military look I would put a folding stock on it but I just can't get myself to write that check. I might do it at some point in the future...

I have an M92 which is probably different threads than the mini draco. I'd do some quick research on it before placing an order. I think I got mine for around $17 which included the hardware. You have to watch out because some places do not include the hardware and cost 2x or 3x as much:
(this is NOT where I bought mine)
Gas Chamber w/Hardware for M85 PV, NP & M92 PV #AK-GC

Done... its built except Im still waiting on the bolt and I ordered some Hornady dies that are on the way.
Upper: Ares Armor receiver, ARP 20" target crown, Syrac Adj gas block, and an ALG 13" rail
Lower: PSA classic with ALG trigger and JP springs, Magpul STR, and Hogue grip.
I predict laser accuracy with my handloads and a ton of fun.

He calls it a 20" midweight... 2lbs10oz... and it's got a plastic barrel cap on the tip to protect the crown... might make it look a little thicker. Nothing wrong with looking a little thicker than you actually are though.
20" 6.8 ARP midweight
It's not quite as big as it looks in the pic, but weight wasn't a huge consideration with this build. This gun is designed to replace my R700 .308 out to 300yds and to get my feet wet in a finicky cartridge. It's got a pretty narrow window with powder and bullet weight that it likes, and there isn't a ton of choices in brass... but 6.8spc is the defacto #1 hog cartridge out there. Plus, none of my buddies shoot it and it's pretty sexy.
I'm building an AR10 in .308 as well, just bought me a DPMS 20" barrel for cheap... last part need to complete that gun is the BCG and optics.
I'm still waiting for the Xmas deals to start popping up strong. Maybe there'll be some good after-sales.

Rifle 2nds/Blems
Best deal I've ever seen on .223 projectiles... 1250ct for $66 shipped... .05 cents per bullet. GREAT ******* DEAL. And they're all copper, which means they're longer than FMJ's and should have better BC. I bought a 600ct and they arrived today, look perfect.

There is a chain store near me called Rural King that is offering a sale on Rock Island 1911's in .45 ACP for $399. Is that a good deal?
I'm not sure which model but its got a skeleton trigger and hammer and looks Parkerized.

I used to own a rock island 1911 compact. I felt that the quality of the gun was very good, and it held six rounds which was suffice. However, I could not hit the broadside of a barn with it. It was terrible, I'm talking a 1 gallon milk jug 30 yards away... and if I hit it one out of six times I was lucky. I traded the gun in on a Glock 19, (I know .45 compared to 9mm...the argument will go on forever). The Glock holds 10 rounds and I shoot crappy ammo through it, and I can hit the bottom of a coffee can at 30 yards with every single round.

The debate is the same thing from 9 mm to 45 ACP as it is for .223 vs 7.62x 39...it's stopping power versus accuracy.
As much as I like blowing holes in stuff, When it comes down to it, I'd rather have accuracy.
