Do the top work in the car at home. Like the gauge, and the electrical work, when u get to the garage simply screw in the sensor, add the 12 volt power and you're good to go. Long story short it will save a lot of headache while at the shop and u wont have to rush the finer stuff like gauge placement and wire management. The last thing u want is jumping around from inside to the out side then back to the inside again and again while the car is on the lift because half the stuff isnt plugged in.

What are u installing? LC1?

Wow completely missed this a couple weeks ago!

I actually have 95% of the wideband buttoned up... Got it all installed yesterday except the 02 sensor. Its even all wired up (Except being wired to the ECU)

I went with the new version... The LC-2

In other news....

Does anyone have this in their calander and 100% wants to come next weekend?!?!

If not I am thinking maybe we should push it back a month to April to wait for warmer weather. We are getting snow this weekend and its still going to be cold next weekend. Might be best to wait for warmer weather in April and get a better turnout?

Warmer weather will be better for everyone, especially me.

Still planning on doing this? I might see about dropping by to learn a thing or two. I want to get a megasquirt in the future and have no experience with any ECUs though. I can spin a wrench, do some fabrication and can solder well though.

Absolutely want to do this in April. Just waiting on the weather to turn for good. It can't seem to stay warm or cold the last couple weeks lol. Should be good by April though... I'm thinking the 2nd or 3rd weekend in April would be best

Ok how about April 12th or 13th?!?!?! I can only pray that we will have consistently nice weather by then haha

Would a Saturday or Sunday be better for everyone? Is this weekend good/bad? Let me know! We can work it differently if a different weekend would be better for more people

Probably, but you'll need to make sure you have an MS expert because I will be useless.

No reply from Joe

I think I'm going to tackle installing this on my own this week and see how it goes. I would still love to have a little install day/meet on April 12th though and maybe even get some fine-tuning done if someone stops in who knows what they are doing.

I will also make sure the lift is free on this weekend to give anyone the option of doing some stuff to their car on the lift if they need. I will let you all know how it goes with MS... Worst case scenario I will swap back to the stock ecu if I cant get it to run well enough lol

I'm glad you're trying to do this on your own. It makes everybody else's life much easier too. Nothing sucks more than driving over an hour away to help somebody, spending several hours, and still not getting running.
I have no problem driving though to meet up to fine tune it for you!

Lol I already have 95% of the work done. I have Tunerstudio on my laptop already, wideband is installed (Except the 02 sensor)... All I should have to do is plug the stuff in and get to tuning.... I hope lol

Will you be driving your Miata or another fine Mazda product?

With three of us and a lift....how long would it take to swap a clutch disc? Oil is dripping out of the bellhousing on mine so I think it needs redone and I assume my disc is contaminated.

I'm sure we could knock it out... Id stay late if needed and help get it done. I did my last clutch in a day with only 1 friend here. I'm getting ready to swap my 6 speed in so my mind will be fresh on what it takes to pull the trans. I even have the Flyin Miata seal tool so we can get the new seal seated easily lol

Why do you need a party to install this MS3X? you just need about 30min to an hour is what you really need.
