Pen2's 1994 Turbo'ed Automatic
More info here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3830003
A summerized version:
It was stock when I got it.
I was loving the turbo idea.
I got a AiResearch turbo for free.
Built around it.
Loving the boost.
both turbo's need rebuild.
currently upgrading to T25, MS, manifold, and downpipe.

So my wife can drive it. She sucks at stick, also I spent alot of money to do a performance build on it. It would be cheaper to buy a different NA, and swaping in the engine than converting it to MT... I have though about this... but the first reason is the main, besides its really quick for an AT, true it does not have the amount of pull a stock MT would, but it has close now from dropping some dough at Level 10. I want paddle shifters now.
As for the heat shield, I have this last-minute stainless steel overhead shield... I am currently making one out of a cut in half cooking pot for the turbo... I still have to figure something out for my top-mount manifold.
Those hoses go from the intake mani to the cam cover. Its an ebay oil catch canister... I had to stuff it with steel wool for it to be effective. Is there a better way to route that?
Its just soo damn cramped in a fully-loaded AT miata... but I use everything like A/C, heater, ABS, PS... BECAUSE of wife, she loves to drive this car but she cant drive a car with no PS especially (I had to reinstall it, she couldnt park the car worth a damn)

This is why I havent lowered my ride yet.
These pics was on the way to see a Jeep for sale, and it turns out they literally live on top of a mountain... rich bastards cant even pave the damn road!! They own nothing but 4X4s, so it just makes sense. So I turned the penguin into a mountain goat. The pics dont do justice for what the road really was, since these were the areas I can get out of the car without falling down a cliff edge.

haha, well that is actually the joke I like to make to her around people... its funny when shes mad and frustrated.
As for the manual, I actually have NEW plans for the future. After I am done with my upgrades, Ill keep it for a year or two; then buy a 1.8l NA manual and swap the parts over, and sell the stock auto. By then she will have her supercharged VW Corrado she recently discovered and now wants.
I also realized I never really put my mods on this thread.
1.8l 96' BP engine port-polished @ 6~8 PSI
egay re welded top-mount SS manifold (ETD manifold on its way... finally)
shitty DIY SS and Mild Steel mixed 3"-2.5" downpipe... but it does the job.
custom 2.5" Exhaust (replacement is also included with summer plans)
Level 10 Performance Torque converter rebuild
Level 10 Performance rebuilt AT valvebody
Level 10 Performance high RPM shift chip
1987 Nissan 300ZX Turbo AT shift modulator
SR20 Garrett T25 w/port-polished and matched exhaust inlet and compressor outlet
eGay intercooler kit
Mallory fuel pump, filter, and AFPR
RX7 turbo junkyard injectors w/clips
band-aid MSD boost controller with a -6 degree retard
band-aid o2 clamp
magnaflow high-flow cat
Mazdaspeed LSD off craigslist
DIY headlamp duct
Jackson Racing adjustable swaybars
Whats left on the upgrade list:
-parallel MS
-rebuild intercooler piping with solid welded pieces
-TIEN Basics (hopefully, but not a must)
-BEGi S4 Downpipe
-New LH fender painted and installed.
-timingbelt replacement. HA!
EDIT: Oh, and as for the wing... I didnt buy it, but I did put it on... and its braced. I dont disagree with it being cheesy as all hell, but I got it for free, I plan on getting a better one tho after I get my suspension dealt with.

UPDATE: Apperently in my drunk mind, I ordered a BEGi SS manifold istead of the ETD... I was so sure of myself... but this is what it looks like installed, along with a gun metal cam cover im trying out. What do you think so far? Still gotta have MS soon, so its almost finally there! Still trying to make the turbo brace still, but failing hard. I made two prototypes which failed hard ***.
T25 compared to my lame *** T2:
Out with the old:
In with the new S4 (note: I forgot to hook up my water lines. Fail.)
Apperently this is normal in the beginning from what im told... I dont care, it looks cool! To bad it went to its final goldish color already.
Represent!
