Guess what happened on 7-30-10...
My car became the wedding cruiser...Yuengling cans and all! That's right..I am officially a married man, and this was the only good picture that was taken of my car the whole day. I ordered 01-up side sills for it and I have a new front bumper that needs fitment and paint. I wish I coulda had all that stuff done in time for the wedding, but now I guess it'll have to wait till closer to winter time.

Oh yeah...then I got home and walked around my mess in the garage to put an extention cord away. I bumped my handlebars on the motorcycle, which turned and bumped my engine hoist, which started to roll away...as my hardtop was leaning agaist it. The hardtop hit the garage floor, and some paint chipped on the edge where it meets the weather stripping at the windshield...no biggy. I went to put the hardtop back on the car and noticed that the back on the top smacked against the only pole in my garage and it cracked the top, cause obviously its fiberglass. So now I gotta get that fixed and painted, F' n A. It's useable and all, but what an eyesore. Anybody ever crack their hardtop?

I cracked my hard top. It was under a pole and canvas car port that collapsed under a lot of snow. One of the cross beams landed long ways across the hard top in the middle of the passenger window, after scraping across the entire length. There's about a 3" crack in it I need to repair still. All I've done is put a piece of foil tape on the inside to keep it from dripping on the seat. I need to get that done, the HT looks like ***, since the rest of the paint is both fading and chipping. If you get it fixed, especially if you DIY, take lots of pictures for me, m'kay?

Mine would go to a dyno day, but it's just like when she goes to the drag strip...at least how I see it. She'll take pictures and videos and hang out with my friends, but I have this feeling that deep down inside she's not honestly having a blast, and she's only doing it so that when we get home I have to give her a back massage or take her out to dinner or something. Or maybe I really did hit the jackpot and marry a woman who actually enjoys that car **** that goes on in my life. I just can't wait to finally finish my ****** CJ so she can get the true off road experience. Nothing seems to phase her as far as what others would consider an adrenaline rush. She likes to scrap book and go miniature golfing. I could do donuts in my car, let her blast cinder blocks to pieces with my AR, whatever...she's calm. I could be freaking out "that was awesome!!" She'd be like "yeah, it was fun."

Eh, I don't think she has to be into everything and have a blast doing it. You'll both have some different interests, and hopefully some shared ones. There'll be days you really want to go do something yourself...and she just needs to understand and tolerate it.
Having a spouse that doesn't take her own interest in things, and also doesn't tolerate or support your interests gets old fast. So does ALWAYS being with her. Work on what ya'll like to do together, encourage her in her interests, and if she's a good girl she won't flip out when you go do your own thing, and may even want to tag along sometimes.
