Default Recorded some friends play song at a local digital arts college, decided to share.

Feel free to load it up on youtube and watch it in 720HD.

Dear fellow mt.net members. I promise that the next time I post a youtube video, I will post: [yt]6ZUJS4IUSjY[/yt] because I was too lazy to previously learn how to embed, even though we have a sticky here about it... my bad.

[yt]<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6ZUJS4IUSjY?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6ZUJS4IUSjY?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>[/yt]

Thoughts/suggestions?

Sounds really good. Drummer is a little intrusive, too busy. I'd pirate their album.

I think they're pretty good. I do agree that the drummer had some spots where he could have been a little more in the group, but still a great song and performance.

But that bass player...sheesh. He needs to drop the pick, grease the hinges and add some more feeling in this mix. He didn't start standing out until around the three minute mark. So many perfect oppurtunities to add some nice fills and break away from the root notes.

I like the song though. I'm tempted to get a copy of it, write my own bass line and mix it in.

Song is pretty good. Video work is fantastic. Good job Nick. That must have taken lots of shots and/or lots of cameras.

EDIT: Wait, all of that was done with the 550D (per youtube vid description)?! Dayum.

I agree, drums need to be mixed down. I also hate the sound of his snare. I will not comment on the sound of the band as a whole, as im too homo now to dish out insults, wanna hug though?

Not exactly my type of music, but I did listen to the whole thing. I guess if I was in need of some mellow music to help me keep calm and focused, this band sounds like one I would listen to.

Nick, you are definitely getting sick with footage. From everything in the past I've seen you post miata and longboard wise (pics/vids), to the trip you took to haiti (I think it was), the video you shot with Ken Block, and now this. Props dude!

My mistake on not properly setting up the thread with the youtube code thingy, i could have sworn that is the way i did it last time and it working. Ill have to read that sticky before posting another video. Thanks to whomever fixed it for me.

Thanks Tim! Yea all filmed with only one camera, I filmed about the first 1/2 of the night and left the camera there with the drummer and he filmed the rest, i went home.

Thanks i have been really getting into video and photography lately, its not exactly my type of music either but i figured someone here might like it. I got offered a photography/video gig to shoot Formula D out here the beginning of next month. Keep an eye out for that

Polished stuff. A bit too unmemorable and generic for my tastes though. Otherwise, excellent video work as always.

A little generic, but very good. If they have more stuff like this I see no reason why they couldn't do well.

Didn't know you posted a thread Nick, thanks for the feedback guys! It's real nice to hear some actual 'reviews' other than friends who can be a bit biased. Have an album in the works, I'm sure more videos from Nick to come soon too!
