Pikes Peak Hill Climb Fanfest pics
Lots of cool **** out here as usual, and plenty of the unwashed masses as well. Sorry in advance for all the fat chicks.
"Monster" Tajima was at the fanfest this year...I see now where he gets his name lol.
Mini on 6ULs. Steering wheel in the next shot is the same car.
Motorcycle and sidecar.
Another electric car (besides the Nissan Leaf).
Pikes Peak in the background of this pic...tallest mountain at the upper right. 1.5miles vertical gain from where I'm standing to the summit.

There was a MadAss for sale in CL locally, I thought it was someone's personl creation and never looked at it as I couldn't find any information about it on the interwebs. Seeing that one out there voide my thoughts and the fact that Tim knows what it is. I need to pick up a scooter to commute to work and that one actually looks cool enough for me to ride.

Tajima broke the Unlimited record by ~10 seconds today, finally faster than the 10:01 mark he set in '07, and ducking under the elusive 10 minute mark at about 9:51 overall. His car was overheating, spewing water at the finish, and there were 40mph headwinds at the top of the mountian. Next closest time was 18sec slower.
@ TurboTim and falcon: it's a beautiful, fun road for sure, and one that I've driven a few times. But not one where you really can feel safe hammering around corners. One look at a 1/4 mile deep drop with no guardrail and the pucker factor goes through the roof lol. Plenty of roads in the area for fun, though.

I have no idea what that car is...never even heard of Dacia until I saw it there. It was really well prepped, or at least looked it.
Modernbeat, congrats on your gf's win! That's badass. Post pics of the car! I might be in Manitou later for a beer...PM me if you have a minute to swill one. LMK if you need any help with the parts, too.
