Default Flyin' Miata new to forum

Well I'll introduce myself. My name is Greg I'm in the army in Pinehurst, NC. I've had my '92 miata since 1997 and built it according to my dreams. I'd like to sell it to someone who knows what I have put into it. I can't post to the classifieds yet so please be patient. Moderators feel free to put me in my place if need be! Thanks!
Greg

How about posting everything related to the turbo and mechanicals as a starting point.

You might as well go ahead and write up a mod list man.

Also clean the engine bay, little details like that make a difference.

That's true. The car has really been sitting for the last few years with me only driving it to keep the battery charged so the whole thing could use a detail. Thanks for the tip.

Hahaha! You're probably right. A huge part of me is invested in this car and if it were up to me I'd hide it from the wife forever but its time. I also didn't want to get in trouble on the forums trying to get around the 10 post minimum before I can post it in the classifieds so... anyway car has 125k but I put a newer motor in it when I put the turbo in it. Motor has about 75k with probably 5k on the turbo. I'm running 10 psi normally and 13 when I feel like getting that rush! I've never dyno'ed it so I have to go on what Flyin' Miata says the kit makes which I believe is around 220 hp. I've owned 2 m3's and driving this thing still "feels" so fast. You row through the gears quick.

It also has the full Racing Beat body kit.

I'd say it's worth about tree fiddy. Better sell it to me.

I'm not the biggest fan of the body kit but I've seen worse.

Can't deny miata design but back when I saw this kit on the racing beat website years ago and cause I was a big flyin miata fanboy seeing how they also used them I had to have it. Its subtle in person. Most may not even notice it were it not for the huge stripes I have on it!

I just did the math and I have easily over 10k above what I paid for the car invested in it. I'm definitely not the guy who believes you get anything out what you put in but I'm not ready to give it away...yet..

My limited-knowledge opinion. Probably get $4k-ish. Stock 1.6 rear end makes it less than ideal. No roll bar, no racing seat/harness/steering wheel, and no engine monitoring (gauges) also diminishes target audience. Not a lot of info, no build thread, no history on the forum, limited pictures, all of which keep you from achieving top dollar. The length of time you have owned the car deffinetly helps you though. If you want too dollar you have to earn it. Include more info than you think anyone could ever care to know. If you need to get rid of it and don't care how much you get, keep the "ad" as it is.

Your point is well received. I will take thorough video and pictures to add. What started as a feeler seems like it may warrant the effort you suggest. Truth is, this was built back around 2001 I was still an internet newb so there's no build thread in existence. I built it pretty much all at once back before I had kids and money was just for my toys lol.

With regard to what you said, it does have the auxiliary pillar boost gauge and the link ecu is mounted on the dash and provides both realtime and data logging capability through a laptop although I've never had to tune it far away from the delta's that flyin' miata' recommends. It also auto tunes within a range anyhow.

Thank you all, sofar, for the input and help.

A lower mileage OE motor or a motor with work done to it? Also, it will be key to list documentation on all major items. Telling buyer's that it's only been driven to keep the battery charged for the past few years may really drive down the price and pool of buyers. A car like this, people will want to know that it was well maintained. The documentation will prove this. Clean it up, change the fluids if needed. Honestly, the engine bay in the pictures is MUCH better than many others we've seen .
