Hello from the Bay Area!
Hi everyone, my name is Ryan - I'm a 24 year old educational consultant/guitar teacher and I've been using this forum as a tool to help build my miata and finally decided to say hello. I drive a 1993 white 5 spd manual miata with tan soft top..I just bought a turbo kit off craigslist for 200 bucks and am looking forward to boosting this baby!
My first car was a 1974 bmw 2002, my second car was a 240sx with a sr20det turbo engine...
now I drive a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and a 1993 miata!!
Most of my experience wrenching on cars is on chevy small blocks, nissan sr20dets, and late model bmws!! thanks for reading! Looking forward to learning a lot on this forum

hey dustin b, nice to meet u! the kit consisted of a mystery turbo which i have identified as a gt28rs "disco potato" clone with a stainless steel water line, the fmic piping from a greddy kit plus a decent sized mystery intercooler, greddy type s bov, a cracked stainless steel manifold, a cracked downpipe, and a full 3 inch exhaust with a mystery muffer at the end...a whole lot of mystery haha

Hey miataman and lordrigamus!
I'm from Union city! I'm actually in need of some injectors, a fuel pump, and a s-afc/maybe a fmu or rrfpr I'm just waiting for some $$$ :P
for those wondering how i figured out what kinda turbo it was considering it had no markings on it at all - i identified the turbo from info i found on this forum and on some dsm and nissan forums...i first measured the exhaust flange length which was 3.5 in which means it's a t25 flange, i then counted the fins on the turbine which was 10 which identified it as a t28 turbine, i then measured the inducer of the compressor and it was 1.8 inches which would identify it as a t28 compressor...the turbine housing was stamped with AR 86 so i gathered this data and the closest specs matched the gt28rs...so i'm assuming it's some sort of egay clone of the disco potato - personally i think it might be a bit big for a little 1.6 :/
