Heller NB Noob here!
Hey guys! I am Toney, I recently purchased my 99 Miata in april. Since then I have been lurking around the forum for a few months just trying to read and learn as much as possible. I am completely new to Miatas though not new to the world of turbo imports. I actually sold my 89 Supra Turbo a few months ago. It made 367whp and was a LOT of fun, at least when it was running anyway. I bought the car modified and it just seemed like it was always something breaking on the car. Eventually I got tired of it and just sold it. I definitely needed another car to replace my Toy so after quite a bit of geeking out online and a bit of convincing from a buddy of mine that owns a NA, I settled on a bone stock NB.
Some Pics:
The day I got it.
Last day with the supra before shipping it to its new owner... The Spec V is mine as well!
Bye
As far as modifications to the miata, I definitely plan on going turbo. I miss the power, the sounds, even the smell lol. I know after a whole lot of reading and weighing the pros and cons Im probably going to end up going with a FM kit w/o electronics and just get a MSPNP. Seems like the best way to go in order to get decent reliability and reach my power goals. I really just want a fun car that will go like stink, be fun at autocross events, and look good doing it all. So far I have only done maintenance and a few mods to the car. I have RB intake, Hard Dog Rollbar, window tint, and NB2 center console/door panels. Im sure the next thing I will do is get a set of coilovers and maybe a brake upgrade before I turbocharge it. Anyway thanks for letting me rant and I look forward to learning even more from you guys in the future.
