There is an Australian company that makes the motor and tranny mounts and some other hardware to facilitate the SR20 swap. You've still gotta do some work to the firewall and wire it up yourself... plus a custom driveshaft and a few other minor things. There are a few who've done it, just google it and check out the Cardomain search engine. Most people will tell you it's a complete waste of effort from a performance standpoint. To get over 300whp, you've gotta go with upgraded internals, just as you would with the OEM motor. The OEM Miata BP motor is just about the most boostable motor ever put in a car... there's plenty of room under the hood, and your 1.6 if healthy should support 250whp with little issue.
You'll be looking for a new differential from a 94+ Miata, a new clutch, minor upgrades to the cooling system, and of course an ECU to run the engine.
If your Miata is in need of plugs and wires, it's probably in need of a lot more ****. Visit the miata.net Garage section and read up on preventative maintenance.
Now, click on USER CP and fill out something in your signature and put your location in your profile so locals will know where you live.
