Noob in Helsinki saying "moi"
Well as the locals here would say upon meeting someone new,
"What the **** are you doing in Finland?" mm maybe not the correct intro for here..
Well lucky i aint Finnish, actually Scottish and just found a colder place to live! to add to this fun i decided to buy myself a Little Yellow MX5 with a turbo conversion from the much maligned Greddy option, please try to limit the berating of me just yet
This little "gem" came along at a too good to say no price so i grabbed it, its a UK car 1991 so no spring chicken (despite its colouring!)
its spec list is hopefully none too shabby but i am prepared to be flamed any second as i bought this on a bit of a whim, plan is to bring it to Finland from the UK and take it out on the frozen lakes in winter and rag it around the ice tracks, obviously with some suitable tyres underneath
I am quite used to lunatic challenges if you care to see what the pop over to http://www.flyingspanners.net
here is a quick run down of the Banana as it is called just now
front lip spoiler, greddy turbo kit, bailey dump valve, induction kit, kakimoto exhaust, decat, sparco dished alloy wheels, vortech fpr, momo wheel, LSD, exedy clutch.
Cheers n Beers guys!

Welcome
Tai tervetuloa, what ever you feel most comfortably.
Here in Helsinki theres lots (few) of more mx-5 owners and we have small´ish club with forum.. PM me about more information and meets.
Please, could you bring V8 miata instead that? Cos only legal way to get one is to import it when you move in..
Grab a hard top from UK, they cos a fortune here. Also I've imported 8 cars from UK, so if you need any info about driving it here or import MOT pm about it.

I think I soo someone posting a pic of this. Tried to look it, but no luck. (or maybe I just remember seeing the for sale ad)
Buy it, if its well priced and non rusty.
But you can do some cultural work by importing something that is illegal here Like Rotary, V6, V8 mx-5 Or if turbo, something else than BEGI/Greddy as their only legal ones. Also all SC are illegal altho ppl do have them.
PM'd you...

Kiitos Paljon,
Car is still in UK in a top secret laboratory being tinkered with, should make it here in the new year with the addition of some Megasquirt, EDIS if required and then an intercooler to 'elp it breath more easily.
