About time i got around to this
Hey guys,
been on the forum for a few months, I'm in my mid 20s, work for a manufacturing company that makes big *** oil valves in a old new england city that hasnt seen its day since the '50s. I got into the miata world after selling my bike and wanting some kind of fun summer car that i can use more than a few times a month. of course i have a addiction to speed so nothing is ever fast enough: commence miata build
I picked up a 94 miata in Florida while on vacation. Super clean body, no rust, awesome to work on (compared to the one piece new england miatas that crumble in your hand)
after finding out it consumed more oil than gas, i knew the engine had to come out, since ever gasket was baked to a crisp in the florida sun. Picked up a junk miata off craigslist with a build engine supertech pistons with 1.5mm overbore and spaced head gasket, new crankshaft, and remanufactured head. (not sure where the owner was going with that)
FMII turbo kit:
Engine in, sitting alittle low.
My custom CNC'ed top hats turned out to be too low (below), so i made another set with less offset, not pictured here.
Now it just sits on the trailer, waiting for me to figure out how to start it (AEM problems) so it can go to the tuning company to get a good base tune. then engine break in, and finally power dyno tuning eventually.
sorry that kind of turned into a build thread but thats my car.
