Default I is new....

Bought a 1990 NA from a dealership in St.Clair Mo. and evidently was a car from a member here. Cartech turbo, hard top, roll bar, tokico's, panasports etc.
Even has the Coil on plug mod...which admittedly I don't know jack about. I'm completely foreign to anything pre OB2 so will be asking a bunch of questions. I'm from Illinois near St.Louis, want to do either solo or Autox. I just need this car to be a bit quicker to match my STI at least. Currently 6.5psi and it doesn't feel even as fast as a stock one. Great looking car though.

Welcome.

Pictures would greatly help us, especially of the engine bay so we can tell you how wrong the previous owner was.

Cartech turbo kit @ 6psi is not likely to be making 160hp. That kit is near ancient and if the fueling is untouched, it's even more ancient. However, it will last forever.

Post lots of pics. It sounds like the rest car is well put together.

Welcome.

I'm running 360 to the tires in my STI. 23psi on e85. I'd love to learn about the engine managements and what would be the best for my combo. This power ain't doing it for me...

Yeah, Selling everything I have for subaru including my STI. Just got this 90 and am almost annoyed with the drivability with my STI so got something else to put my wallet into.

Man thats one interesting heat shield. Where are those bolts bolted to? It almost looks like they are using the bolts that go in the head.

really really really really old BEGi kit.

what's wrong with bolting a heatshield to the head and blocking the heat radiation from #1/2?

For a second there it looked like it was using really long studs as part of the exhaust studs as the reason why i was a bit confused.

It is an... Um...interesting setup but it does have stock exhaust on it. As soon as I get exhaust I'm going to wrap the hot side. Inter cooler is ancient too and beat up. May go air to water from Frozen boost. Otherwise I have done a great deal of research but not familiar with pre OBD2 cars running boost. Time will tell.
