Default Student-budget turbo build

Hi all,
I'm Albie, 21 year old University student from England, in my final year of my motorsport engineering course.
Been daily driving my 120k mile '89 MX5 for 3 years with <120psi of compression and a whole 96 whp! How is it not turboed yet? I don't know either.

Anyway, here it is in all of its rust and lacquer peeling glory (a lot of IG filters were ued)

The truth is that I'm slowly piecing together a turbo kit for this at the very bottom rung of student budget. That means making my own manifold and downpipe, China turbo, and all second hand parts. Can't wait to get started when I finish my course in May.

Luckily I got in contact with the guys at Motorsport Electronics, they set me up with one of their ME221 ECU's so I could help develop it for the NA6, that's the topic of my dissertation.
On that topic, I've put together a 6 question, questionnaire to find out peoples ECU preferances. Ideally, I'm looking for 30-50 responses, is there a better place you can recommend posting a link to it?
Maybe General Miata chat or in General discussion?

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VVPSRQL

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on how the budget turbo build is coming along and how I do on my first trackday next Saturday!

Thanks

I do not know where you'd better place your questions, unfortunately. but I want to wish you good luck in writing your dissertation. anyway, I advise you to use this site click here, here you will find the thesis and essay of the Australian students. I think it will be useful for your work.

Good luck with your studies.

You wont find any ME221 supporters on this site due to the questionable ethics and marketing tactics of ME electronics towards Megasquirt.

So, are this accounts for real, or old school "trojan horses"?
