Trade fail.

You should have been one of the cool kids and kept the subie and bought a miata too.

I own two subarus and a miata!

Looking forward to driving my car again soon. The miata has been parked since mid september after our first snowfall. I will be affing a few parts this winter...bigger injectors, flyin miatas "thicker" headgasket, some arp head/main studs n bolts. Stg 2 exedy clutch and rx7 440s. I will then be looking to turn up the boost a little and shoot for for 215-220hp. Did I mention I cant wait to get her back on the road!

Thats because subarus are sooo heavy, and even with big power the first time u enter a corner and it pushes like a plow, u really start thinking 2200lb rwd> 3200lb pig.

the 3200lb pig is a fantastic all around car that's better at 90% of everything than a miata, but just so happens not to be a sports car, and doesn't handle as one.

don't hate just cause you jumped ship. many of us have both and love both equally

Not hating at all....still very much love subarus and always will. Infact I will build another gc impreza one day and look forward to it in everyway. Just making a comparison to a smaller car that handles much much better.

You may have noticed, by reading above, that he didn't jump ship. Still has two subies. Just traded the coolest one for the Miater.

I'm on the other side of the camp... Seems like most MTers have a VAG product + miata, or subie + miata. I have 2 veedubs.

Anyhoo, that was a slick subie, and somehow your wheels are cool in a strange sort of way, and congrats on the turbo, and go ahead and order rods and a bigger turbo and hey, might as well get ID1000's cuz you're gonna get addiiiiiiccccted.

Lol already addicted. You dont think 440s with a 2560 and full 3" exhaust will get me to 215-220? I think so. Should be enough for this year, maybe next winter some pistons/rods and ID1000s.

to be honest my subaru was very fast, and very fun just felt heavy. I put an awesome drivetrain in a car that shouldve been in be better shape. Made 300hp weighed 2800lbs. I have built many of subarus before , and like I said when the time is right I will build a propper heavy pig that I will enjoy greatly.

Yeah your plans will get you to your power goals. But if you find a good deal on ID1000's you may as well do it now. It'll work with your current setup and then you only upgrade once.

Don't bother with the head gasket or the arp unless you're building the bottom. oem is good for about ~220-230 tq. trans is too. welcome.

Thank you!

The wing is not made anymore, and from what i understand never really went into production. There are only a few around.

my subaru plows into corners. I make up for it by being slow in the straights.
